After years of stupidly powerful engineering, we are finally being treated to sidegrades. 😂
Can't wait to engineer these stabilizers for double capacity at the cost of, idk, something negligible or something that can be negated elsewhere with more engineering ;)
 
holy cow! I just saw the money meta alloys are fetching. could put a huge dent in my carrier fund deficit !!! FD must really be wanting to tempt players away from thargoid hunting.

may have to spec out an asp. I have not been to any barnacle forests in years. I assume they are the same in oddy as in horizons 3.8?

Was I the only one a little disappointed that we are getting the ability to add more guns onto our ships, something I won't be using for quite some time, instead of an updated Xeno-scanner so that we can use the fantastic multi-cannons that we just got to rip out some bug hearts?

I get that we just got a whole bunch of new toys, and some of the larger ships could benefit from this upgrade. Did you also know that every ship using the enhanced multi-cannons could benefit from increased range on the Xeno-scanner. 500m feels absurdly close when you have an interceptor boosting away because it has NPC's chasing it in a CZ.

I really love the new weapons, and I might want to add more to my ship sometime in the future. The most important thing to me that the moment is getting our cool new toys to hit their marks, and having more guns strapped to my hull does not make them better at tracking, getting the scan on the Interceptor does.
 
my main reason for being interested is because we can't use guardian stuff in the maelstrom's so I will
have to use the AX stuff if we go in there.
 
pants .... did a few extra runs last night to get me to 12700. thought I would be safe for 25% but it's a bit tight now.... and this morning my supply station is tapped out. should have done some more last night.

People were ******** about the necessity to have the experimental hardpoint limit changed for years. Nobody cared about the xenoscanner before finding out that the Thargoids indeed know what instant aggression is, after the second attempt to eradicate their species. People are finally getting the means to bring more experimental weapons, as they wished, but of course, that's not important anymore and now they want something else. This is so typical for this community it makes me cringe.

Fair enough, you have a point there.
Still, if you take all the wishes and complaints a la "we need shiplaunched nukes for the maelstrom", "xenoscanner should be passive and long-range" and "my 8 AX turrets should fire at will at interceptor hearts", the whole game falls apart. One could think people just don't want any challenge in this game, which is silly. It's just too much, and imo everyone should take a step back here instead of exchanging "I agree we need this and that" ad infinitum.

Almost over, 12372 seems to be the figure now so you might be OK.
Thanks for the warning by the way, I have run an extra and longer session and managed most importantly to get rid of all the Beryllium off my carrier before the end as a bonus with just over 15000 am also in the 25% club.

I didn't risk it tho it seems I would have been ok. I tapped out at just over 14,500 so safe in the top 25%

if I go back now I will be either fighting thargoids on VR or doing some rescue /passenger missions on my steamdeck for the war effort .
money wise I am edging closer to getting a fleet carrier. I am at just under 3.8 billion now so realistically about half way to where I want to be for a basic hull
 
67 total runs and 46,096 tons delivered making a nice profit to apply to my fleet carrier up keep. I just can't ever seem to make the top 10. I was well into the top 10 yesterday and when I woke up they had blown by me by over 9,000 tons. I don't know how they deliver so much so fast. I respect their efforts.
 
I'm sorry if I blocked anyone from landing at the Glorious Prospect earlier about 7pm GMT on Mobius. I thought I'd logged out while I had dinner but when I came back I found I hadn't.

I started the CG flying in Mobius, but because there was only one large pad on the megaship I reluctantly switched to Solo.

I was nearly to 25% last night. Today, barely in 75%.
Oh well, no reward for me. Will wait to buy I guess.

Revision, the 75% thing was from inara. Entered game and I kept 50% status. Yay.

So, no more guessing the details of how these work soon.

Lest one think I'm complaining, I'm not. Good job all. Motivation can take you a long way.
