Discovery Scanner - 23.01.2023 | Update 14.02 Deployment Date Announcement!

Greetings Commanders!

A little later than usual with the push out of Discovery Scanner this week! A few last little nuggets of information were required but here we are, back in the Galaxy for another week of Elite discoveries.

Lighter on community news but a little more impactful with game news - we have an announced deployment date for the "January Update", now titled 14.02!

If 14.02 is all you really want to know about, the scheduled deployment date is set for January 30, 3309.
The full expectations of the deployment, in terms of downtime and release times, as well as update notes and confirmed fixes, will be posted to you in due course, ahead of time.

If anything changes, like the ever swirling Galaxy can sometimes tend to do, we'll of course be promptly in touch.

Same place I read that the Station hologram misalignment and the off kilter DC approach were getting fixed...

It's a bit late now but we really need some clarification on what exactly this means:

• "The class 3 and class 5 variants allow ships to be outfitted with one or two additional AX weapons respectively."

Earlier galnet articles referred to "experimental weapons", now it's "AX weapons". It is still not clear if guardian weapons are included or if the stabiliser will only apply to human AX weapons, and there is going to be a lot of disappointed people if it's revealed to be the latter. A simple clarification (even just a tweet!) by a CM really should have been put out before the CG was run.
