Update 14.02 Now Live!

Restoring power to each of the settlements in a recovering system now reduces the time taken to fully recover the system by 1 week.
    • This will be reflected in that system's recovery complete time shortly after the final settlement has had power restored.

How does that function exactly? Once a settlement has the power restored by a single player it is restored for everyone? So each settlement only needs to be restored once by one player?

Hi Henoch, what were you expecting wrt CQC?

Edit: if this is about the visual issues affecting Asteria Point, I understand this will be fixed for the next major update.
Oh wow, that's great news! Our community has been getting back into CQC lately, so it's really great to see that game mode getting some attention.

Nice one!

This was in my mind too.

Hi Bruce, thank you for noticing and answering me.
Yes, it was with respect to the maps in CQC. And if I may add another feature that should be reprogrammend: please make the power ups to appear randomly at another position each time a new game starts. - Thank you and keep up your good work.

There was no mention of the mission boards bug in the notes (was there?) Assuming that got a stealth/server side fix.

Edit: although, to be honest, I've not seen it for a while.

Impressively good update so far

Stable play until my PC had a crash - unknown reason

FC plot to planet now working

Thrusters and DC still off...

Is it my imagination or has the planetary approach from SC looking more like it did in 3.8 ???

Waiting for FC jump...

B+ for this one

Sorry to hear this, idaho. Being a smaller follow-up patch after Update 14, the intention was always to "tidy things up". A wider range of changes can be expected in the next major update (15).
Was part of "Tidying things up" reducing the thargoid payouts by 20%? I didn't see anything about it in the patch notes, but they've definitely been reduced by said number and it's getting to a point where your "end game" combat content is going to be less profitable per hour than running toxic waste in a Type 7... Stop reducing payouts and start increasing difficulty.

Hmmm...

Event ID 2004

Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: EliteDangerous64.exe (20060) consumed 15428448256 bytes, EDDiscovery.exe (3760) consumed 2763603968 bytes, and Rainmeter.exe (24452) consumed 788860928 bytes.

I've got 32GB of ram

Plus I have tons of free disk space

Wonder what that's all about?

On re-boot/re-load Task mgr shows 14GB memory being used

-5:00 UTC in the USA the download took 5 min 46 sec. Started Odyssey and it didn't crash. :)

Here's some issues with the new Gamma settings.

The orange in text menus are now more of a 'blood' orange. Bright areas look OK but dark areas are very dark. Ship graphics in Outfitting are too dark to see. Walking around the concourse in a station where dark then a light turns on. E.G. two NPCs sitting on a bench in the dark. Mouse over a NPC and a light turns on seeing them in better light. Using a turbo-lift the light changes when transporting and then arriving and opening the doors. Up the Gamma a little and the bright areas start washing out. Putting the Gamma back to pre 14.02 update and the bright areas are way too bright.

Hardware is an Acer Predator X34 QHD curved gaming monitor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card.

Regards

Light and dark with the new lower Gamma setting. In bright lighting the NPCs are still dark with less detail.

Blood Orange With the new Gamma increasing Display Brightness to max seems to correct this. Outfitting also adds light.

Night Vision at a Guardian site is very dim especially at distance. I'll have to temporarily increase Gamma to play here.

Yep yep, saw that. But that was about an improvement to rather than a fix of - if I'm reading it right.
