where to report cheaters?

where can i report a squadron that is using glitches to make insane amounts of money and cheating their way to #1 in the leaderboards on xbox? couldnt find anything

edit: ok i found the report function ingame. i am baffled: 50 letters to explain how somebody is cheating, thats impossible. so frontier makes it extra hard to report cheaters, that the only way to do it is posting on the forum, but if you say the name the post gets deleted and you called a witch hunter. if you dont say the name nobody knows and nobody cares. is this some kind of a bad joke? can you people from the community team change that nonsense? or can the so called "volunteer moderator" please get back to me and tell me how i can report cheaters with the possibility to explain how its being cheated and know that somebody is actually doing something about it???

Well, given that ED is dead on consoles, I guess FDev support doesn't care that much anymore. Legacy mode is now the real wild west.
As for the forums, I think console players will soon become an exotic sight to see. Could well be that the mods got confused by this mythical creature and mistook it for a troll.

Typically glitches are legit to use, it is use of specific cheating software that is big no no.

Fdev either patches glitches or not.

idk if i can reword it exactly. my buddy i am flying with every day and who is playing elite since launch, told me these guys are shooting interceptors/hydras in a certain moment just when they are about to leave the instance. that way they get stuck or frozen and cant move anymore. and no, it is not stunlocking. i asked him specifically if they just stunlock them. he said no, he know what stunlocking is and they are definetely glitching

i did the ingame thing. idk how it is on pc, but on xbox you have 50 characters text. how you report something like that in just a few words? its not possible. i might try the email thing, but i dont believe they care

XBox reports may go to XB mods first, than to Frontier.
A safer bet would be with the email address i posted above

In other news to the OP: It's XBox. Development on XBox, and all consoles for that matter, is essentially dead, so I'm not so sure I would worry about it as I'm sure FDev aren't going to either.

If you're on PC, the easiest thing to do is play Odyssey. Then what they do doesn't matter.

The more detail you provide, including historical data, evidence and metrics wherever possible will assist the devs in identifying any problems.

Or. Alternatively. Posting in the forums and nowhere else is a great way for it NOT to be resolved in any way at all.

NOTE: The Legacy version of the game as played on Xbox is not receiving any future updates and indeed has been unpegged from the live galaxy so whilst it is eminently playable, it is possible that it will be listed as 'just one of those things'.

ANOTHER NOTE: If a loophole or exploit exists it will have been there for a very long TIME! Unlikely to be a new thing.

FINAL NOTE: Evidence of glitch rather than evidence of high results would be required. Ie just because a high number has been achieved, doesn't mean an exploit is being used!

right, but i tried to figure out where and how to report. my first approach was not fitting the forums rules, ok. but moderators could be a little more helpful and let me know where and how to report, after giving me a warning. it should be their job and not the job of other cmdrs reading in the forums

so where else should i have posted about it, if not here? especially when there is no information about where and how and if moderators refuse to help, but are happy to give warnings after warnings.

regarding final note: their high results are not the reason for that accusation, but the eye witness who told me about it. a cmdr who plays elite since launch and has been at the crime scene while the subjects where comitting their crimes. a cmdr that i know and trust and who knows what legit game mechanics are and what game breaking glitches are.

furthermore, the reaction of the subjects after i confronted the squadron leader, just tells me its true. if somebody falsely accuses me of cheating/glitching, i would anser: no it is not a glitch, its is a legit tactic yada yada. but i wouldnt say "there are many ways to make money in elite...". and after i blocked that subject for security reasons, he sent me one of his buddies to follow my profile and probably go after me. VERY suspicious behaviour if you ask me
