ED is kind of an on-off relationship starting in 2018, due to lack of time. So now i came back after half a year or so and found out about the Odyssey DLC, where you can walk around. But I dont know how to upgrade. I entered the frontier store, but cant find it there. I run ED in VR and bought it at the Oculus store. What am i missing?

The fact that you need a really beefy system to properly run Odyssey (Elite Dangerous v4.0) in VR
Anyway, depending the platform you got Elite (Frontier Store, Steam) check that platform and just buy it

BUT, before you buy it, just update your game, check Elite Dangerous Horizons (which is the Live version 4.0) and see if you can actually run it properly and if you like what you see. Version 4.0 had upgraded graphics, new planet generation, tenuous atmospheric landable planets (Odyssey only), on-foot action (Odyssey only)
Legacy Horizons is the old v3.8 Elite Dangerous - which should be what you know from 2018-2021.
SO, to reiterate - just check if you like and if you can play the new Elite Dangerous Horizons (v4.0, live version)
If you do, just buy Odyssey - but be advised that in Odyssey VR works only in-ship, it's way more demanding than the old v3.8 Horizons, and on-foot you get to play in panckake mode (on a 2d screen)
Thanks for the explenation. And thanks for the link. Never found that one. Thought Odyssey must be bought from the frontier store? Quite confusing to have different web sites for the same game.
At the Oculus bibliothek from which i am running ED the info sais 3.8.something. So i assume, it must be the old version? Everywhere it sais only ED Horizon. Updates happen automatically there. So, it looks like its not possible to play Odyssey if you bought the game via the Oculus store. Maybe if I connect my frontier account with Steam?

Might make sense. But I think, i'm on the right track here.
Update: I updated to 4.0. when I came back couple of days ago. Just didnt remember. Found out, when starting the game via steam. Same launcher, but steam was still V3.8. and needed update, too.
So, I think I will just buy it at the Frontier store, since all my purchases were there.
I read somewhere, theres a solution to the pancake issue, by using the externel camera and moving it to the correct spot.
