Yeah, I was ill and missed the boat but have never received any emails relating to Elite from Frontier sent to my email address linked to my XBox Live account. Nothing mentioned in-game either so only found out about the deadline after the event. Seems a bit bizarre that they can't use the same mechanism to transfer accounts once they restart though... speaking as database expert and having done many data migrations. But hey... maybe Starfield will release before they re-open things.
I was in the same boat in terms of emails, I only caught the end of the console transfer window since I happened to be checking the forums. During last year's transfer everyone was in the same galaxy, the presumption is that the split last November will make things fiddlier.
PS for @Tigon and anyone in the same position regarding lack of emails from Frontier, I'd opened a ticket with Frontier a couple of weeks back and this is the latest response today:
We recently made some changes that should resolve these things. Could you wait until tomorrow, as by then you should have gotten a new contact from us.
If you haven't send us an update and we'll go from there.

The problem with transfers post U14 is now the commander save is different from Legacy to Live and also the Galaxy is different.
I dont think for example they will manage to transfer whatever First Discoveries (Exploration) you got in Legacy (since last November) to the Live galaxy.
But i guess most people will be happy strictly with the commander profile (credits, assets, ranks, unlocks, materials)

Last email was Jan 27, 2023, 4:13 PM GMT... to give you a time frame... so not due till way later...
Additional if using Gmail with default filters it can arrive in PROMOTION filter not primary filter... and yes its late this week... lol
The only emails I have so far today are a couple asking me to click the link below to arrange redelivery of my order (funny, I don't remember ordering anything), and one advising me to try a male enhancement formula, whatever that is (something to do with putting up shelves more level?). Still, lots of hours to go before I get to 24.

Please forgive stupid question #2,345... I'm not interested in transferring to PC, am content to just play my Xbox version of Elite. Will I be able to for the foreseeable future ? Thanks for any replies.
"foreseeable future" is as meaningful as "indefinitely"
So the definitive answer is: yes, you will be able to play the game in the future.
However, sometime in the future (but there is no set date for that specific moment in time), FDev will shut down the servers and you wont be able to play it.
To be fair, that's applicable to all versions of the game, not just Console.
The game split in November 2022. Xbox. Playstation and PC client v3.8 (original Horizons) have their own unchanging, no future events (IIRC) galaxy called "Legacy". It will be around for some unknown amount of time into the future. Whenever FDev decide to pull the plug for whatever reason.
Horizons v4.0 client and Odyssey (also v4.0 client) is the "Live" galaxy for PC which will get future content and events. Best guess is that this version of the game will be around at least through the end of 2024, possibly/probably longer.
FD are still selling the game on xbox I think so Legacy should be around for awhile ......

We've been waiting for word on Col 70 for six years now.
Sorry to ask maybe again but Im thinking that in the future i might buy a pc for elite… will I be able to transfer or is it too late? I play on PS5

There is another transfer scheduled to come. It will not be as good as the last one but details are still unclear. If you transfer at that point, any further progress you make in console will not be reflected on PC, but you will have a PC commander ready to go when you buy a PC.
I suspect the old transfers of "credits only" will always be available once this current set of transfers closes but that is a very limited version of transfer.
