Broken/bugged feathers since Update 5 / Malta DLC

See title. Especially the Therizino feathers are messed up badly (see screenshot), though other species also seem to be affected by this problem (T. Rex). I have reported this issue on the issue tracker:

For some reason the former report has simply been ticked off as "expired". I'd like the forum users to help with this, by adding comments on the report and vote for it once it's open for voting.

Hey @Gondwana!

What are your PC specs, and which settings are you using when you're playing? :)
Hi Jens,
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060, 16GB Teamgroup Vulcan DDR4-3200, 1TB Samsung SSD 870 EVO

I don't think it has to do with my setup. Many other people reported the same, and not all are PC players. Plus this issue was not a thing before the last update, I remember them being perfectly fine.
The feathers got broken with the introduction of the last update/DLC

It's not random. It's there all the time. Rain is no factor at all.

@Jens Erik
I've just checked again in the species viewer. They are broken. Therizinosaurus feathers are the most obvious ones.
It seems all Dominion species are affected. My guess is that the introduction of the feathered Malta species has something to do with it. Probably the feather system was changed somehow, affecting all feathered dinos including the Dominion ones.

This is how Therizino's head feathers should look like:

Not like in the screenshot in my first post. Comparing them both should make it very clear how broken they are now.

Hey again Gondwana!

Could you tell me if you're playing with any mods installed? Or if you've had mods installed previously?
Hi Jens,
no I don't have any mods installed. I know of others that it's exactly the same problem on console, so that can't be the source.
Yeah, I play on console (PS5) and also have this feather bug issue. I can now confirm that it's not due to rain, but it seems to affect the Therizinosaurus quite often and noticeably.

It's not just often, it's always the case. Therizino is the worst right now. The head and arm feathers are not how they should be, especially the head feathers. Just look at my screenshost in the first post above, it looks like a badly edited photoshop...
And it's still not fixed... Do we have to wait yet another three months for a fix?

I'll flag it again with the team. I noticed in your PC specs that you didn't specify your CPU? Could you also tell me what CPU you're using, please?

And does this issue persist in completely new maps/saves? If you start a park fresh and pump out a Therizinosaurus, does it look the same as in the screenshot above?

My CPU is 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700F 2.50GHz
As mentioned above, it can't be my setup. The exact same bug/glitch is also on console.

It looks always the same. I have looked it up in the Species Viewer recently.

For me at least, it seems that all new and existing Therizinosaurus have the head feathers glitch. I think that it started being like this even prior to Update 6. I play on PS5. As such, the dev team should easily be able to spot this feather glitch just by starting any new Sandbox map and hatching a new Therizinosaurus.

It has been an issue since the Malta DLC. I believe that the feather mechanic/tech or whatever was changed globally for the Malta species, thus also unintentionally affecting the (older) Dominion species.
Those head feathers on Therizino have not been there before. It should just look like it did originally, that's all we want.

It seems they got amended a bit (to compare, look at the god awful screenshot in the first post), but it's still not how it should be. The feathers looked much better in their original state. This needs to be adressed finally.
