That'll be Star Citizen, no cave flying in ED as Sapyx said, indeed no caves.

Thx for the replies,

Definitely ED, So i was told, I will look into it a little more see what I find out, but thx for your input

No, there are NO caves in ED, zero, zip, zilch, there's nothing to find out. The planetary generation systems simply doesn't support caves, so whatever you heard is wrong and whoever you heard it from is wrong. It's as simple as that!

Maybe it was also just canyons instead of caves?
Or maybe that 'fake' video, someone flying overhead in a canyon, with planetary surface on top, pretending it's a cave?

Well... i know about a 3km deep hole... that's pretty close to a cave imo :D

That's indeed what we experienced speleologists call "a hole!" Knowing the difference between "a hole" and "a cave" is important when you go caving, the selection of equipment varies greatly between the two and you wouldn't want to take "going down a hole" gear on a "going into a cave" trip. Sure there is overlap in some areas but taking the wrong gear into a cave means you die.

Meantime let's wait for the OP to clarify the source and content of their information.

You can glitch through solid walls and floors occasionally in ED so it could be that I suppose but it’s pretty obvious when that happens because you start seeing mesh wireframes.

A rare planetary collision can look like a "cave" with ground both overhead and under you.

Thargoid surface sites look kinda cave-like on the inside.

There's also an odyssey planet type that has deep fissures that look more like caves than canyons if you squint.

Does an asteroid base count as a cave inside the asteroid?

Like this you mean?

Have you found the source of that info yet? Would be interested to see it!
