Planet and Maelstrom vanished after a rebuy.

I was farming mats in the maelstrom in col 285, when suddenly I saw my ships hull at 24%, 23, 22, 10, 8, 6, 1, BOOM! No warning, no sound FX, last I looked at my hull it was in the 90's.
I've not seen a rebuy screen for about 3 years :D
Anyways, after a rebuy I was back on my carrier, 1 jump from the col 285 system. Jumped there...and noticed the planet was missing, the planet the maelstrom was around. System info clearly states there's a maelstrom here, but it and the planet have completely vanished! There's no info in any system view for the missing planet.
I am utterly scooby-doo'd as to where the heck it's gone.
Logged off last night. Just gone back into the game now...it's still missing.

Anyone seen this before?

Have you rescanned the system?
Having died you will have lost the scan of the system including the planet that the Maelstrom orbits.

Yup. Tried everything. I've been to the system many times and I hand scan data in often, so I shouldn't have lost anything.
I can see the other planets, just not the 2nd one with rings where the maelstrom was located. Doesn't appear on the scanner or in the system map.
