What are the chances of Frontier updating older Animals?

I'm not against updating older animals but I think it's a little unrealistic to ask Frontier to rework all their animals. And, let's be honest, the vast majority of them still look awesome. So I think we should be reasonable and ask for the updates that are REALLY needed. According to me, there are 3 of them: fixing the malayan tapir, increasing the size of the giant tortoises and add brachiation behavior to the orang-utan.
And the african lion. Is awful. It wasn't good from the smart even when compared with other OG cats.

Getting back to this. I cant help myself but feeling that the lar gibbon and water monitor are pretty much paid updates to the siamang and nile monitor :D
Well hoping it also means the siamang can brachiate on any climable like it seems to kar gibbon can do and the nile monitor will be able to deep dive like the Asian Water Monitor.

I too, don't think it's very likely but some animals (like the heavily mentioned African Lion and the not Malayan Tapir) and also the Japanese Macaque I think need some major upgrades.

I wonder what base game animals don’t need to be updated?
I'm ok with most of the hoofstock, the elephants, rhino, komodo dragon, the apes, the tortoises, the ostrich, etc.

Even the ones that do look a bit odd like the zebra i think is not that disruptive compared to things like the african lion that it looked off from the start, even when compared to the other base game animals.

Most of them are still good IMO. Only the wolf, male lion, Malayan tapir, and old saltie texture jump out at me, and even the saltie I can live with. Bison resize is still needed though

The komodo is so annoying to me. The model look great, frontier knows how to do reptiles. Bu their so small! I'm not saying they can't be the size they are but every komodo I've ever seen at a zoo is way bigger than the in game komodo at 100% size. They can be small at 50% size but when their at 100 I expect them to be one of the massive ones.

Edit: for reference I compared the 100% komodo to a 52% Spectacled caan and the caimans bigger. An average Spectacled caiman is around 2.4m and an average komodo 2.6m. And this one was supposed to be a big komodo which can get around 3m!

I guess chances are they will also look way too small compared to the new monitor then.

Our best chances to make them look at it might be to post a lot of pictures of the Dragon next to the water monitor just after release.

That is kinda what worked for the camel resize, since it looked silly next to the p-horse. Of course those two are also supposed to be housed together

Good idea. After the pack releases I'll take some pics and make a thread.
