Ships New ships?

I'm simple man, with modular design where all ships can do all things only usefull things which I see are things, which could kick example python, because "multi purpose" ships should be ok in everything, but the best in...well, in nothing.
So...when M size ship with cargo better than python, and M size Kruger ship, which could take more passengers than pythoon? (hey, we have only small passenger ship, and 2 big ships, where medium?).
And maybe small/med ship with good cockpit view, enough optionals for required modules and BETTER jump range than conda
(or just fix conda mass by increasing it, but I know that people hate nerfs).

That's the DBX. Though a stripped-down paper Conda will outjump everything because some ship has to.
And any ship can be a passenger ship... just not luxury.

technically, in elite any ship can do any activity (outside luxury passengers).
But it still doesn't mean, that everything is ok, when "passenger ships" are much worse than "multi purpose" ships, similar situation with cargo ships.

Worse at what? The luxury passenger ships even make great explorers.

Read it few times more, if you don't understand, because in quoted message I talked about passenger ships which are worse passenger ships than multi task ships.

Worse at what though? "Passenger ships" doesn't describe what you're trying to do. Long range, thousands of light years tourist missions for a single VIP? Bulk transfer from one close-by world to another close-by world? Many parties of sightseers going to the same beacon? Criminals who want to move clandestinely? Something in-between? Different ships excel at these differently. Be more specific. You can't say multipurpose ships are better at all of these.

The game doesn't even have an imperial warship, except a small one.

P.S. I heard that they don't add new ships because they haven't finished the interiors of all the old ones.

I'd love a high-price small ship. Imagine a Viper but with a C7 distro? You could do AXCZs, AND land on the small pad instead of waiting for the mediums!

Yeah a redo of all the small combat ship but in medium versions. Like a medium eagle, medium viper, medium vulture, medium courier, medium db scout.

That's an interesting idea, but what you're proposing wouldn't really accomplish what you're looking for. Small ships main advantage is to be able to land on small pads, so making them medium sized wouldn't really help.

That was your requirement, not mine, I would just like those ship reimagined as medium ship.
Like something a bit bigger maybe not full size medium like python or krait mk2, but still small enough to be agile and such.

I would like to see the planetary gameplay for full VR. New ships - yes, sure, but... thats second what i would like to get.

I guess my question is, what would set them apart from the medium options we already have?

To me, the main distinguishing factor separating the smalls and the medium ships is the distro size and the landing pad size. After all, we already mostly use C2 and C1 weapons.

I would love to have a smaller fleet carrier, like something not able to carry large ships but only medium, with a reduced cost and less options.

I'd like to have a super heavy freighter such as T9 but with much more cargo space which can jump to any body as fleet carriers do.

Looks like frontiers will not add any ships until some paid expansion as they stopped adding any serious updates to Horizons.

Any larger and it won't fit through the slot, so you'd need a smaller shuttle on board, to get cargo into the station, which would defeat the object - might as well use a Fleet Carrier and a T-9 to do the job.

When we come up to the ship in the crawlspace, we can load goods.
What prevents us from landing on a planet with a large pad and transloading goods?
