"Open Park"

Greetings,

Is it intended that my park always opens itself when I load a save? Its sort of an emotional uplifting moment for me when I finish a sandbox build and hit the almighty "Open Park" button for the first time. Yes, I know, it's entirely inconsequential, but it's still a great little moment best left to the player's hands.

IF this is intentional, then I offer this feedback: I think the little indicator at the top of the screen telling you that your park is closed was enough for the players and did not require any change - there's also the whole lack of guests wandering around on the paths which was a pretty good indicator of a closed park also.

I have also mentioned this before.
If a park is being closed manually it should stay that way. It's annoying to close it every time I load a save file.
And the performance is much better with a closed park. (I play on old gen..)

This sounds like it's probably tied to Update 6 making Arrival Points open instead of closed by default.

This is a change we introduced in the most recent free update, where Arrival Points are automatically open after you've placed them in Sandbox Mode. I'm unsure if it's meant to default to Open when you've saved a park while it's been closed, so I'll flag this.
