Other than the fact that was an April's fools, could have been an interesting twist.
PJs come in loot boxes.
Ships are sold as DLCs (but there is new one every month or two).
Ship interiors are DLCs
You can land on planets depending on what kind of DLC you purchased.
Base building available as DLC
Black paint job for FCs available for $14.95 at the EA store.
blocking Rackham's peak with FCs is against TOS, participating carriers will get shunted 5 - 20k LY away.

I'd buy that for a dollar!
