Now that Universal let the secret out…

Universal confirmed in an announcement promoting the 30th anniversary of the JP franchise that JWE2 will get a corresponding “pack”. I think now would be a great time for Frontier to come out and at least give some more insight into what this will be. If the news article is correct, a simple dinosaur pack sounds quite underwhelming. The fact that Frontier keeps breaking the game with every DLC already makes me less likely to buy it at launch. Haven’t even bothered buying the feathered dlc and won’t until the game is actually playable.

Honestly I was hoping for a larger expansion that would at least give use the JWE 93 Nublar map. It had the pond from the movie and the only improvement it needed was the waterfall and to perhaps be a little bit bigger. A giant version of that would automatically make me consider buying. I’m seriously hoping we are at least getting segisaurus, the 93 parasaur, and 97 pteranodon. I’d also hope for the remaining novel creatures but I feel those are the most appropriate. The reason I put the 97 pteranodon is because we really need all the movie animals to finally be in the game. Another good thing would be the option for herbivore feeders like in the first game.

Honestly I Iike TLW pteranodons because they feel less movie monster than the ones in JP3.
The game is perfectly playable on my ps5

Best outcome would be some nice relevant decorations and the missing attractions, like river boat tour, lagoon attractions and botanical gardens etc.
Not some clone (Segisaurus) of already existing species like Coelophysis, that would waste the few precious slots that are left.

it´s a nice option to bring Herbivores to focus on one point, and you don´t have flood the complete enclosure with vegetation for enough food. So you can create better looking enclosures.
Exactly. You can’t recreate the iconic watering hole from the first movie because then you would have to add the needed plants which ruin the look. It’s not like we need paleofeeders since we have the plants to put in enclosure.

I keep hearing the reason for not including segisaurus being that it would be too similar to coelophysis, but I don't think that that reason holds much weight. First of all, segisaurus is an official Jurassic Park animal and, as such, should be in the game. (It certainly should have been in the game before coelophysis, anyway.) Second, how close it ends up being to coelophysis depends entirely on the originality of the design.

I recall the announcement saying packs, plural, along with stating we're also getting more dinosaurs, so we're getting at least two things, the free decoration pack and a dinosaur pack. Anything else is speculation at this point, but I'm still hyped.

For the decoration pack, I'd love to see these:
-return of the missing Evo1 JP fences and buildings
-Pteratops Lodge as a new hotel/viewing attraction for Aviaries
-the cliffs from the Evo1 Aviary as placeable objects that can both free-stand and attach to the Aviary walls
-the Tyrannosaurus and Alamosaurus skeletons as placeable decor like the Spinosaurus skeleton
-individual benches, trash bins, some more signs and flags

And for dinosaurs, at least some combination of:
-Hadrosaurus
-Hypsilophodon
-Lambeosaurus
-Microceratus
-Othnielia/Nanosaurus
-Mussaurus
-Ornitholestes
-Prenocephale
-Procompsognathus

-Lourinhanosaurus
-Segisaurus

Bro, you can literally place a SINGLE bush/tree of any Paleobotany plant and the herbs will eat from it. Seriously why tf does everyone think that you need to flood the enclosure with plants to keep the herbivores fed???

Where did you come up with lambeo, preno and lourinhanosaurus?????

How about this for a reason? Prioritizing an obscure, smaller Coelophysis clone, all because the softest of soft canon says it's in there, when there's still a mountain of viable, unique alternative options and limits to how many animals we'll ultimately get, is just dumb.

Hey there!

We're so excited for the Jurassic Park 30th anniversary, and can't wait to celebrate with a free decorative update planned for everyone for the anniversary itself. Keep an eye on our social channels for more on that update closer to ;
Any chance of adding any of the following?
1 Bridges and tunnels (They clearly exit a tunnel entering the T-rex paddock).
2 Moats (The steep drop in the T-rex paddock). According to various maps using the book, multiple paddocks don't use fences, but moats.
3 Bring back the Raptor pen from the first movie in a functional way.
4 Allow the Park Tour to have stops along the path (i.e. the Aviary) so they'd still be on the park tour, but could be inside the park.
5 Bring back the short fence from JWE JP. That's more in-line with the delophasaurus paddock.
6 Create a "double gate" like from the first movie, but usable on the tour route. This will allow extra security to ensure dinosaur don't escape through open gates.
7 Make unique, JP exclusive, buildings for food, drinks, and souvenirs. Recycling the buildings from JW doesn't feel like something that would be seen in JP.
8 Remove the boundaries. The topography/shore would prevent departure.
9 Cliffs/rock faces. This will also allow fences to connect to topography features and be part of the enclosure.
10*** Allow the track to overlap/reconnect. This would allow a true tour loop, with vehicles entering and exiting the main gate.

The same could be said for some that are already in the game. Some are very similar but still have different designs in the game. Triceratops and Torosaurus. Baryonyx and Suchomimus. Compsognathus and Sinosauropteryx. Stygimoloch spinifer and Dracorex, which are most likely just juveniles of Pachycephalosaurus. Although "Stygimoloch" spinifer is probably a different species, just not a different genus.
Or some that are popular requests. Tarbosaurus, which is very similar to Tyrannosaurus rex. Some scientists even place it as a different species of Tyrannosaurus.

But yes, Segisaurus is very obscure. Personally, I wouldn't mind Segisaurus as a pick. It would be a nice nod to an obscure detail that is technically canon as it is in the brochure. But yeah, there are more interesting picks. Hadrosaurus, Microceratus, Ornitholestes and Mussaurus would probably be my top picks.

That's... Actually kind of disappointing. There's a lot of novel/screen animals that are missing from the game. Hypsilophodon, Nanosaurus, Microceratus Tarbosaurus, Little Eatie, etc. New Decorations are always welcome, but I feel like a lot more could be done.

If all we get is a pack, that’s a pretty big slap in the face to the fandom and JP franchise as a whole. Free decorations are good I guess but not worth as much as the whole new life a dlc of that scale would have breathed into the game.

They blew a HUUGE opportunity to do so with the insect feeder in order to hide it behind a paywall for an ok DLC pack.

The same Universal announcement said that more dinosaurs are also coming. And we haven't heard about everything that's happening. Let's stop being Chicken Littles and cool our heels until we know more.

excatly that dosn´t work! if you have 7 Alamosaurus and just a little trees of what its needed is placed, 3 to 4 of them are dying, because they have "to less" food.

It's not soft canon. As of 1993, when there was only one film (no franchise. no universe.) and there were only fifteen confirmed species, segisaurus was one of those fifteen species -- and some of us have been waiting to see it for the past thirty years. It belongs in the game and I believe that Frontier could do something wholly unique with it.

That being said, as far as the long-term life of the game goes, the modding community would benefit from having as many unique rigs and animation sets as possible.

That's not true at all, yeah not all can eat at the same time but they all have more than enough time to eat AFTER the others finished eating unless you have like 15 Alamos. Also like I said you can use ANY Paleobotany plant, you don't need to use the one they ask for.

I tested it. It dosnt work. If you have the wrong plants, they will be sick too.
