Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary wishlist

Here's my personal wishlist for a presumed JP30 DLC/update:

The return of all content from RTJP that didn't make it into JWE2.

New skins based on unused concept art

A new T. rex variant based on the "male" from TLW and JP3

Stuff from the Universal Theme Parks! There are so very many things at the "real" Jurassic Parks around the world that would work beautifully in our parks. Things like The Velocicoaster, a "River Adventure" boat tour, various amenities (Jurassic Outfitters, Thunder Falls, Dino Store, Pizza Predatoria, etc), decorations like a placeable archway and the T. rex vs Spino fountain at USS.

More skeletons, I love the Spinosaurus skeleton available in the JW Era and I would love to have something similar for the JP Era.

The 1993 Parasaurolophus and 1997 Pteranodon.

Last but not least, victory roars! My T. rex will roar after scaring off rival predators, but not after killing them. I find that very awkward.

Happy 30th Anniversary everyone!

I said this elsewhere already in the forums, but I do feel like saying it again since it didn't garnish enough attention. If there will be anything 30.th anniversary related coming to the game like so many who speculate on social media, I honestly have a hard time believing it will be a big PDLC expansion. Mostly because of how Frontier designs all their PDLCs overall across both games, partly in that they aren't too "fan service-ish", if that's how you say it accurately.

But, if there will be anything 30.th anniversary related in name or theme coming in the next couple of months, my best guess is the major update. What it may have if that's the case, I personally and honestly don't think it will be limited to "Jurassic Park" the movie, but the entire film series by adding one or two things from each movie.

Here's an example that I came up with:

(Jurassic Park)
1. "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" banner just because it's pretty famous for its own reasons
2. Night vision goggles mode for first-person mode and riding a tour.

(The Lost World: Jurassic Park)
1. Amphitheater now as a placeable attraction through the JP set.
2. "Pteranodon 1997" skin only because the game has similar file things for the 2001 skin

(Jurassic Park III)
1. Boat ride that's loosely based on and designed after the barge to make it look less like a cargo boat

(Jurassic World)
1. Canoe ride that's loosely based on the Cretaceous Cruise
2. Hammon memorial statue to memorize John Hammond in your parks

(Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom)
1. Lockwood Manor as a Challenge mode map where you must deal with the dinosaurs roaming the outskirts of the mansion
2. Mt. Sibo as a Challenge mode map where you must help the dinosaurs escape the erupting volcano

(Jurassic World Dominion)
1. "Gender editing" for "Nastoceratops" (and maybe "Spinoceratops") to bring a new specialized type of design that's fundamentally different from "Variants" and "Skins"
2. Skin modifying for "Allosaurus 2022" and "Dimorphodon 2022" as those are the only "Variants" that didn't get such treatment from Update 6

And then there's the generalized quality of life and bug fix stuff for whatever.

Thank you for not letting me get my hopes up. Still, a man can dream.

Jurassic Outpost, a fan based online community that has a marketing relationship for the franchise, has just uploaded a new article regarding the Jurassic Park 30th anniversary and what details to expect. One piece of information says that Frontier will indeed bring in content to JWE2 for the 30th anniversary!

“Frontier Developments will be bringing Jurassic World Evolution 2 players even more mesmerizing dinosaurs for their parks with additional DLC packs and new content.”

Still, I don’t know if a big expansion pack, as I said above, will be “30th anniversary heavy” with a lot of obscure, behind the scenes art, Frontier original models for unseen species, or novel stuff, or a mixture of those and other sources will be the big DLC coming this summer. Because the ideas I’ve seen all over social media don’t necessarily fit Frontier’s style for both JWE games. But, I won’t disregard the possibility.

But, since there will be PDLCs coming for the celebration, I wonder if it will be a big expansion (either “Camp Cretaceous” or “Site B” themed as I speculated for it elsewhere in the forums for good reasons each) with a tiny, standalone DLC that will have bonus dinosaurs like the three JWE1 Dr. Wu hybrids, or the Microceratus as I speculated before if it’s not coming in a big expansion, partly because it’s in both JP and Dominion eras? Kind of like how JWE1 had a the major RTJP expansion alongside the smaller Raptor Squad Skin Pack that came a bit earlier before the expansion?

I have to wonder if they didn't deliberately withhold RTJP content from JWE2 so that it could be reinstated in a JP30 pack.

I don’t know anything about that. But I do wonder how many DLCs will be for the summer if it’s that big of a deal to have multiple like during the RTJP times. Yes, the statement taken from a publication JO uploaded says in plural “Packs”, but that doesn’t ONLY mean there will be multiple DLCs in one time for the summer as I’ve seen a few assume. It could be just stated in a most broadest sense there will be something coming in general.

Because of what Francesca Falcini said in both the forums and the subreddit, at least where I saw the statement, I wonder if information will be coming in a similar way as back in 2019? For those who never knew, or don't remember, Frontier announced their big 2019 summer update in May, several weeks before the announcement of the accompanying major expansion pack. Within that time span, they did one post per week about what the update will have and what to expect.

The reason why I'm theorizing this is because of the question I have of "What if it's more than just 'decorations' you can place around like the other decoration stuff in-game?" What if it means just "decorative" in the broadest and general sense possible?

I've seen so many limiting their ideas to "Jurassic Park" or "Jurassic Park era", but I am almost certain they will be adding stuff from across the six films and not just the first movie or its "era", whatever that means. If so, I imagine being something like this for what they might be doing for example:

(Week 1: Decorations)
Jurassic Park: Banner, and Alamo and Rex Skeletons
The Lost World: Hunter vehicles, High Hide on a tree, and the Trailer lab and expedition jeeps
Jurassic Park III: Velociraptor nest
Jurassic World: Hammon Memorial, and "T-Rex Kingdom" archway
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom: Ceratopsian skull
*As well as miscellaneous decor form nowhere in particular

(Week 2: Attractions and Amenities)
Jurassic Park: Night vision goggles mode for tours
The Lost World: "Amphitheater" for Sandbox
Jurassic Park III: Aviary caged walkway, and Boat ride
Jurassic World: Cretaceous Cruise, and Gondola
*Maybe some new miscellaneous options for existing amenities and attractions

(Week 3: Dinosaurs)
Jurassic Park/The Lost World/JPIII: Alternative skins for the JP era skins, as they are just "Skins" and not "Variants" because they have no technical differences beyond mesh changes
The Lost World: "Pteranodon 1997" skin
Jurassic World Dominion: Skin customizations for the "Allosaurus and Dimoprhodon 2022" variants, and "Gender Editing" for Nasutoceratops to introduce the male design that functions differently from both "Skins" and "Variants"
*As well as some possible tweaks and/or quality of life changes to the dinos

I just want to say that if there's a "Gender Editing" mechanic for Nasutosaurus, than T. rex should get one too.

The Lost World: Hunter vehicles, High Hide on a tree, and the Trailer lab and expedition jeeps
Boat ride
Jurassic World: Cretaceous Cruise
I'd agree to these, I'd like the JP Boat Ride/JW Cretaceous Cruise as water-borne alternative to the J.Tour.
The----
TLW Hunter Vehicles can be viable as skins for the Ranger Jeeps
TLW Expedition Jeeps as J.Tour vehicle skin
TLW Trailer Lab (the front end) can be used as a skin for the MVU, or as another skin for the J.Tour vehicle (If both ends of the Trailer Lab is preferred).
TLW High Hide - Can be a good TLW version of the Viewing Tower.
