Summary
System: YZ Ceti
Station: Clement Orbital (Coriolis starport, large pads available, 1,225 Ls from main star, 12.07 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Cobalt, Ion Distributors and Power Converters
Time limit: 9th May 3309 @ 05:00 UTC

Description
Aegis has requested materials in the YZ Ceti system to mass-produce a defence for ships entering the Maelstroms.
Professor Alba Tesreau, head of the tri-superpower agency, announced the initiative at a press conference:
Final tests have been conducted on the Thargoid pulse neutraliser, which offers ships a brief window of insulation from the energy wave encountered inside a Maelstrom.

Aegis has been assigned a generous budget to purchase large quantities of cobalt, ion distributors and power converters. These will be used to create a manufacturing and distribution base, making the Thargoid pulse neutraliser commercially available on all rescue megaships.
Clement Orbital in the YZ Ceti system will serve as the delivery point for all shipments.
If Tier 1 of the campaign is reached, the Thargoid Pulse Neutraliser will be made available at tech brokers on all rescue megaships.
The top ten contributors will receive a Thargoid Pulse Neutraliser, which will be placed in storage at the Orunmilla megaship in the Didiomanja system.
As an additional incentive, the top 75% of contributors will receive an Aegis paintjob as follows:
  • Imperial Clipper Aegis Rampart
  • Federal Gunship Aegis Rampart
  • Alliance Crusader Aegis Rampart
The campaign begins on the 2nd May 3309 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Cobalt, Ion Distributors and Power Converters to Clement Orbital in the YZ Ceti system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Clement Orbital is orbiting planet A 10
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Interstellar Factors, Material trader (Encoded), Social Space
  • Prices at Clement Orbital:
    • Cobalt: 4,139 Cr/T
    • Ion Distributors: 2,600 Cr/T
    • Power Converters: 1,577 Cr/T

Wonder what's up with the ship choices. FDev should know that gunship & crusader is one of the less popular ships for combat.

Especially for AX combat.

I don't know what you're talking about, I love every single one of those ships, they are all fantastic.

Clipper especially has been used by many players to probe the Maelstrom. I'd love to see some screenshots. Flossy, you around?

Oh... wow. Conservatively, this means that 99% of contributors will receive nothing but the meagre profits from the deliveries...
A couple of months back I was disappointed that only the top 50% got the caustic sink launchers (and I was one of them), but at least that CG had the somewhat-profitable (cough!) palladium pricing.

Honestly, I'm a big fan of the relatively limited number of players who will get the free one. That means that when they explore the maelstroms for the first time, it'll be really special. Hopefully some of them bring a camera!
Well, let's see how that works out. A pessimist might suggest that they will have forgotten how to engage with other humans, given that they spend 140 hours per week making deliveries ;):p

The top 75% will receive three paint jobs but, yeah, only the top ten receiving the big reward is very disappointing and discouraging.
