"Low Effort" Ideas for a Retrospective 1st Anniversary Gift

Honestly I just want an another flamingo, specifically the American one, because Is my second favorite animal in general and I just love to see them when i go yo the beach, also, in Mexico Is the most common flamingo and the Greater Flamingo Is so rare to see

The Dromedary Camel would be and awesome gift

Also another preference would be another species of Giraffe like the Masai Giraffe

But another animal gift always would be a good adittions to the roster

I'd love a 2nd flamingo, and the American has this beautiful, deep pink that the greater flamingo lacks

I'm not opposed to this. I've only ever seen Masai giraffes anyways

For me however is a good option, if It is on a dlc i would Buy It!!

That's fine. But our European friends want one, and it would at least add something iconic to Europe, so it's not a loss at all, especially since it's free

A bear really isnt needed, id rather get something i cant have by ignoring the himalayan or grizzly bears names

I dunno if your directing it to me, but I actually agree with you.
I mean, an addition is an addition, and while not all are necessarily asked for, I don't think that there's anything that would take away from the game. I also hate it when we get something cool and then it's overly criticized...

And yeah, another brown bear isn't needed or requested, but I do know that some people had mentioned that they hoped for either a proper EBB or to rename the HBB into the EBB

It wasnt directed against you dw but really the only reason to want another brownbear is because our current ones look less then stellar, as you can literally just use them as EBBs and no one can tell just from looks.
Id go so far and say that roe deer would add more then the EBB as they are clearly visually distinct from the other deer, even if the 3. Central european deer is a bit redundant

Free gifts like black rhino, dromedary, aye-aye or addax make much more sense.


Both are a possibility as from the two gifts we already got you can tell,

One cheap clone, the boring lemur, just a reskin red ruffed.

And one amazing new animal, the Red Deer, nothing like it in the game, though probably based on the fallow deer, but so very different, I want another gift like the deer, not the lemur, both sifaka and aye-aye would have been better lemur gifts

Or just blue wildebeast in the base game. I don't even use the black one. Yeah looks kind of cool but the blue wildebeast is the one i will always choose for savanah exhibits.

And i was so sad at the missing (and probably only) chance of getting the blackbuck for the game in the grasslands pack. I will be beyond happy if for some reason we get it as a free gift but i guess things like dromedary, black rhino, nile crocodile, addax or rhea are way lore likely.

I never said that I wanted another brown bear or another leopard, and I mentioned the Masai giraffe because literally the thread is about low effort animals, the theme of the thread was to mention "clones" animals as a belated 1st anniversary gift, obviously I'd like to see a crested porcupine instead of another giraffe but this thread isn't about that, I don't see the problem of answer the thread with what is

While i dont agree with the general statement, i very much agree with this.
This game is wonderfull and the thing that all additional content should strive for is to add new possibilitys, but while everything adds a choice not every choice is created equal.
For example the black and white ruffed lemure, while "just" a different collored ruffed lemure still enhanced our lemure and madagascar variety by half.
Meanwhile the gerenuk for example would "just" be our 11 african antelope, enhancing our variety in that field by 10%.
Ofcourse this does not factor in sentimental attatchement to the species, but simple math quite nicely visualises the contrast between the new possibilitys two additions make, even if one is objectivly more unique then the other.
I am a okay with clones, but id like to see them where they matter.
I dont need a third brownbear with the only visual difference being that its a higher quality moddel, meanwhile literally any primate but especally monkey clone will still be welcomed even if it is the same workload, maybe even less.
You see this guy? This is a tufted capuchin, literally a brown and black capuchin with a funny hair do, literal pallete swap.

Id pay good money and be very excited to see them in the game.
Why? Cause our whitefaced capuchin is the only south american primate in the game currently and im dieing for more.

So really when it comes to clones, i dont care that they are "clones" especally as each clone has lots of love and care put into it, i care that its the right clone and the right clone simply is something that brings the most variety, the most possibilitys while still looking different in atleast color.
Thats what i would like to see pushed more instead of more lions, tigers, brownbears and wolfs

Assuming we're asking for or wanting 8 more giraffes is a quite a different thing than what's going on, in which case if someone even wants another giraffe , they would mostly like only one more. That's me for instance. Yeah, I'd like a second giraffe, it's an iconic animal in terms of recognition, popularity and presence in zoos. Having a second would give us a choice and variety of more than just one species, which is really no choice at all. I have no interest in having a third giraffe though.

Core takeaway here, overdramatizing the numbers to an extreme misses the entire point of a thread like this.

There is another giraffe though, the Okapi. And in some degrees the Pronghorn. :-D

I wished every animal was as complex as African Antelopes, they all look VERY different from each others, something other animals (such as lions, tigers, most bears) can only dream of.
