Thank you for the bugfixes, FDEV! Huge thumbs up!

I was really frustrated with how many aspects of the game were broken in one way or another, and sometimes in a few different ways at the same time after U14 - which contained only a handful of fixes too - to the point that I have written this feedback thread, which a lot of the people reacted to and we've had a rather constructive discussion about the whole thing.

I think it's only fair to highlight the amount of bugs that were fixed in Update 15. Lots of them with references to the issue tracker tickets, logged by players. For a very long time now I am of an opinion that FDEV should focus on fixing bugs a lot more, even if it means less new shiny things.

U15 is a very positive change and I am VERY happy to see that! After the partners presentation I have sent couple of follow up questions to Frontier and one of them was about the bugs. The reply I received was essentially saying that the devs are focusing on the update and making sure it works etc. This created a slight impression that I should not really expect to see many bugs fixed, so I am even more impressed with the patch notes!

I just wanted to say thank you to Frontier for listening to feedback and looking at some of the long-standing bugs! It is amazing to see and I really hope this trend continues in the future as well.

I have actually logged couple of the issues that were fixed, so I'm also happy to see some indication that the issues that players log are actually looked at as well. What I would absolutely love to see is the issue tracker itself getting some more love and attention - which were hinted at a long time ago, but nothing came out it (or nothing visible to the community at least!).

Thanks again FDEV, I'm sure I'm not the only one that noticed this and appreciates it a lot :)

I'm stuck in a station because my ship is impounded, stuck in a look with Inter Astra trying to buy back, no luck and cannot have another ship transferred due to a ship impounded.... Helll... Relogged, rebooted... nada... Thanks you U15. Anyone have a suggestion? Besides haven't a squad mate fly me to my FC?

One of my VR issues was fixed which was nice to see, and although not one of mine the missing planets in SuperCruise are great to have back, as is the properly scaling SRV radar model 😁👍

Bringing Elite into line with other FDev games and only requiring 3 confirmations from other players would be a massive step forward in my opinion.

Try relog to Horizons live, that maybe should put you in a ship, but you haven't given us any details of your problems, like how did you get there in the first place. You can't buy back ships with inter-astra, you can buy new ones and sell old ones, but you can't buy back a ship you already own. If you supply more details like what happened maybe someone could help you get it sorted out.

If your ship blows up on foot you do indeed pay the insurance at Inter Astra. There's no buyback from impound. I'd think the thing to do would be to pay the impound but I don't play bad guy enough to know if that's the procedure.

There have certainly been more fixes in this update than I expected, and also some that it would seem weren't communicated to the CM to add to the patch notes. And it's great to see that. It is a real shame and slightly strange after the attempt to fix one of the Barnacle Sites in Update 14, which didn't work, they didn't try to fix it again.

Someone is definitely paying more attention to the issue tracker as they are clearing out issues that haven't met the required confirmations about once a month now it would see. The number of Confirming issues has been consistently around the 200-250 mark each month, since I mentioned it in the thread in February. This is a double edged sword because it means you need to rally 10 people to confirm your issue quicker than before.
Since February only 16 issues have been marked as Fixed though, so are they all being marked accurately. And since Tuesday there have been 131 new issues created.

Having just searched for 'Barnacle' two of the new issues are about crashing Barnacle sites, which are both duplicates of the one that is already at the Voting Stage. So it definitely still needs some work.

Given the gloomy outlook in face of the depressing Steam review situation, the officially disappointing reception of Odyssey (justified or not), with all the live streams suddenly cancelled and the stock markets plunge last year, I think few would have expected FD to stick with the game and extend and bring it to shape again as they did. But here we are! 🚀

Thank you FD for your perseverance, too!

O7,

If you don't mind me asking, what were the issues which you logged that was fixed?
Fleet Carrier accidental jump triggering by moving the map using the mouse and invisible SRV projectiles.

I have also contributed to a number of issues that were fixed, but logged by other people.

Oh yeah, the invisible SRV fire. So the fix is confirmed to work? If that is the case: awesome! With the VR shipyard and suit outfitting fixed, that makes the perfect hat-trick!

Yeah, I haven't been in an SRV since the update to test it out, but I was pretty excited to read that the bullets should be visible again.

Seems to be a new CTD issue if flying over atmospheric landable bodies. Happens frequently when searching for biologicals...

Only visited a couple since the patch but haven't had it happen yet, may be just in certain atmosphere because they did mess with the shaders in the patch. Does it happen every patch or maybe just Ammonia atmosphere for instance?

I can come to take you where you want. Just let me know where you are and I taxi you home. :)

That reminds me to log another bug… whenever I search for and select systems in the Galaxy Map, although the map cursor moves over the system I want to travel to, I can’t plot a route to them without first moving the cursor away from the system and then back over it.
