Not complaining, since it's a lot easier to escape interdiction in a nimbler ship, but I am curious as to why.
The DBX has no weapons and a tiny 4t cargo hold that is almost always empty. My Type-10 is a hulking brute that has 128t of cargo space while being armed to the teeth. Yesterday and the day before I was ferrying around a bunch of data for Sirius Corp, and then hauling Modular Terminals to get access to Marco Qwent, but I wasn't interdicted once while carrying these. Even though I was having to make multiple trips in my DBX. Yet as soon as I dropped those items off, I got interdicted more times in the past two days than I have in the past week when I was flying my Type-10 and spanking pirates. I'm not pledged to a Power.
Are pirates more intimidated by a large and heavily armed ship? Do they see an unarmed DBX as easy pickings? Has there been any in-depth study as what influences the frequency of pirate interdictions?
