[Updated to v.8] - check out the readme / about
Greetings Commander,
I have been playing Elite Dangerous in all of it's guises since early 2018, during that time I've found a load of great recourses to help me while travelling around the galaxy. When Odyssey came out, the first thing I wanted to do was get back out into the Black and discover what was out there.
In September last year I started my travels of discovery from the Bubble to Colonia (eco jumping) through the spiral arm up towards the core, I found loads of sites with Flora and Fauna that needed to be scanned for the Exobiology rank that had been added in the new update. The only thing that annoyed me about this was having to constantly have to, either write down what I was searching for or check using the system map what I had ready found on the surface of the planet.
So, using my very limited abilities I decided to create a program to help me.
This is a totally manual program to assist with discovering Biological and Geological samples on planets. Once you have scanned the desired planet, just click the checkbox to the left of the samples that have been identified on the surface to mark them as located.
Then once you start to scan the first sample you will need to click the sample named button, this will show you the sample picture and the minimum distance between each sample. When you have finished scanning, you will need to click on the checkbox to the right of the button. This will then remove that sample from the list and you can then choose what to sample next.
Once you have finished on the planet, you will need to click on the reset button. This will allow you start the process again on the next planetary body you wish to sample.
The application can be found on my Github page, along with the readme/about document that can be accessed by clicking on the 'About' in the menu.
