Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Ahaha, what a beautiful comment from SA:

"[...] What kind of game comes out and it's a posthumous minefield of "In Loving Memory Of" for half its prominent characters?"
Having the last performances of a bunch of actors will be a huge selling point, even to people not involved with video games. I've had a non-gaming coworker far outside the usual demographic mention Squadron 42 many years ago because he saw Gary Oldman was in it. At this point, maybe it's even the plan.

They will get stairs working eventually:

Stair Citizen's tumble is eternal.

Because he was trapped in prison of course ;)

(PS I do love Ant trying to argue there are no meaningful systemic bugs in SC straight after that CIG mea culpa post )
Hola non mon ami. I don't say that there is no bugs or systemic bugs (not being able to play for 2 days at 3.19 launch). Only that the long list of bugs given in this forum is not representative of a standard gameplay session of SC.

Sure. Never said they were ¯\(ツ)/¯

But by the same token, one player's session is a poor benchmark for judging systemic issues. (Which is why your 'Vape had a trouble-lite sesh' post is relatively meaningless).

As has been explained numerous times, and as you will no doubt forget again, the interest in bugs in this thread isn't centred on depicting SC game sessions as entirely dysfunctional. The focus, AFAIC, is this:

  1. Noting long-term technical issues. IE: Regressions, systemic overload, Jesus Techs not hitting their marks etc.
  2. Laughing at the funny ones :)

IE: Suggesting that SC's development is entirely dysfunctional ;)

That's different.
