Hyperspace travel through Maelstroms

Thought I would ask this question here, rather than try it out to check first.

If I plot a hyperspace route, say from the bubble out to one of the Guardian ruins sites and it passes through a Maelstrom infested Thargoid incursion zone, will I be hyperdicted by aggressive Thargoids that won't ignore me but will attack on site?

Is it safer to plot a course that circumnavigates the invaded areas, as I have done previously in my defenceless explorer ship?

Of course you will. If you plot a route through a war zone, they're not going to ignore you just on the off chance that you might not be there to get involved in the fight.

Yes you will and yes you should.

What I was wondering today was - when your next jump goes to an Anarchy system the games warns you about this (OMG NO, not an Anarchy system  how on earth will we survive? /s) and gives you the option to abort the jump.

Does it do the same when you're about to jump into a Thargoid infested system where Glaives might hyperdict you and actually kill you?

Because if it doesn't then that's just ludicrous and ought to be fixed ASAP.

Of course not.

They'll read your plotted course, realize you're not there to mess with them and they'll leave you completely alone.

sits back, grabs popcorn, waits for it.

If you are flying a Diamondback Explorer with an execellent jump rate, you will usually miss the Thargoid controlled systems on the way out from the bubble. Just plot the route and check the system map for any stops at a Thargoid active system. Going to Guardian sites I often fly a 62LY jump Asp Explorer with no issues.

Doing a honk with the Discovery scanner and if so inclined Full Spectrum System scans (FSS) of the systems out and back adds another 1-2 million Explorer credits and reputation gain. Just don't die before you turn them in.

It does?

You can always abort a spool up... And 99,9999% of systems are anarchy...
After an unexpected and terminal incident in a paper AspX a few weeks ago (route passed through HIP 22460), I now make sure to glance at the jump info box when spooling up, there's loads of time to hit abort if it's a nasty.

I'll confess it's been a very long time since I payed any attention to it so it may have changed. I remember when it first appeared because I hated the fact that it popped up in the middle of my screen saying something like "Anarchy - press Joy Button 3 + Joy Button 7 to abort jump", thereby needlessly ruining my immersion.

The jump info that pops up informs you about anarchy, alert, invasion (ongoing and averted), occupation and maelstrom states.

Addendum: It also tells you if the next system has a scoopable star and if it is the primary or a secondary. You may not get to see that info box though if you charge while scooping.

If you apply the Civilization Filter: "None", "Human", "Guardian"; with "Thargoid" un-checked, before plotting your route it should safely route you around the murder-flower zones.

It's even useful for moving around on the front lines, as with that setting it prioritizes Alerts > Invasion > Controlled when there are no good options. May be my imagination but I feel like I get Hyperdicted less entering Alerts or Invasions, but a control feels like a 90% Hyperdiction rate.
