Quick Star Citizen update, and why this channel is going to change directions. It's still going to be gaming related content though, and I will still cover Star Citizen, but as an outsider because I simply do not posses the patience of a Jedi master to play this game.
Yesterday I got an urge to play Star Citizen off stream. The ASOP terminals didn't work, so I couldn't store or claim my ships. So I logged off with my Carrack in the hangar of port Tressler. It was full of loot and had 3 vehicles inside of it (sub armor too, not that I care about it at all)
Today I log in, the ASOP terminals worked, but my carrack was apparently destroyed, so I lost all the things I gathered yesterday. Fun times!
So I spend 20 minutes going to New Babage to claim a Reclaimer so I could try the salvage missions and the progression that comes with it. Why 20 minutes? Well I had to claim a ship, and I needed to buy a ton of stuff that I needed.
So I go to NB and I wait for the ridiculously long claim time for the Reclaimer. I wait for the ridiculous jump time between Microtech to arc L5 with a stock QT drive.
I managed to eat, take a crap, and watch 2 youtube videos before I got there. I got to the salvage claim, and as I get out of the pilot seat my character disappears.
Idk if I should tell you that you can't control an non existent character.
So I tried everything... emotes don't work since the character is not there, and to cut the story short, the only thing that worked was the torch that was being emitted from thin air.
Naturally, I try logging off and on again, and naturally the game puts me on another server and I spawn back at Microtech.
So I think I'm done with 3.19.
I guess it would be funny to you, seeing me angry and rage quitting, and the sad thing is that I really wanted to play SC, but it's like a toxic relationship. You come back to her/him and they promise they'll be different, but you're met with all the old crap + some new crap that you didn't see before.
Playing SC is like a toxic relationship. You come back to it over and over again, because they tell you they have changed. And then you encounter all the bullcrap you had before + some new crap that you have never seen before. And the truth is, those kinds of relationships are bad for your health. And as soon as you move on, the better you will be.
As I've said, I'll still cover it, but I haven't played it off stream for more than a year now, and I guess I'll keep not playing it until it actually starts getting better.
