All ship interior threads should be put into one thread like you did with the Open vs Solo threads.

Seriously. The spam of ship interior threads has become as bad as if not worse than the threads about Open vs Solo. They should all be put into one thread like the Open vs Solo threads were. It's gotten far beyond ridiculous how done to death and spammed this topic is.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Seriously. It's ridiculous. End it.

I don't know what you mean....

I think the reason it's such a popular request is because it is not really one request, but several dozen. Ask 10 different people what they want out of interiors, and you will get 10 different answers.

Because what they really want isn't interiors, but rather a Panacea to their disparate issues. One player wants Interiors because they are bored while they are traveling in super cruise. Another player wants Interiors because they are annoyed by the blue circle rather than using the front door. Another player wants Interiors because they are annoyed at the black loading screens.

Interiors are such an undefined concept, they can be the answer to any of these things.

I don't think merging them all into one thread is going to really help. All that will do is get a whole bunch of players collaborating on what they think they want, completely missing the point of what they actually want. They will come up with a huge list of potential content, but very little of it will solve their basic issues, the ones that made them want Interiors in the first place.

If they are going to Sticky a thread, it needs to be something more specific, something that gets players thinking about when, in practice, they would find Interiors useful merged with the current game.

Ah, I've seen this one before, it's the old "standards" joke right?

Big tech company looks at the market and sees an opportunity, there are 14 competing standards for X, that's ridiculous, if we introduce a universal standard we could clear this mess up, be famous and make a lot of money. So off they go, research and development, working hard to develop the new standard.

6 months later all finished, there are now 15 competing standards for X!

Ship interiors, so controversial and so many threads, who would have thought!

Seriously. The spam of ship interior threads has become as bad as if not worse than the threads about Open vs Solo.
I actually agree with the OP, but likely for very different reasons. There are people who think ship interiors are a terrible idea and thus call any discussion about it "spam". I'm sure they are annoyed with the new posts feed being flooded by a dozen separate threads on this.

I find ship interiors a fascinating discussion that I like to partake in, so I find it frustrating to have that discussion shattered into a dozen different "shards", having to repeat myself or just copy-n-paste comments because the exact same discussion is happening in those dozens of threads simultaneously. It's just not efficient. And sure, maybe each thread has a slightly nuanced take on ship interiors, but there's no reason that can't be condensed into a single thread with quoted conversations serving to handle those "subtopics".

I was pointing out the fact that your answer could be interpreted as a cheeky answer to a serious statement and i found that refreshing.

I do understand what you meant, so all good. :)
Haha thanks. I interpreted your question as good intended, so it's alright.
And yes.. I already have a history of mods misinterpreting my words 😁
