Really good analysis and I agree. And I think we can finally, after 3 years, say the middle east and north africa are well represented! I've waited for so long!It is clear to me now that the packs this year are supposed to be ‘part twos’ to the packs of 2021. The Tropical Pack brought us the Lar Gibbon and a tonne of Southeast Asian scenery to balance out what was missing in the SEA Animal Pack.
The Arid Animal pack introduces an overwhelming majority of North African species, to pair with the North African scenery we got with the Africa Pack that summer. I remember distinctly people complaining that we got little to no North African species to go with the scenery we got, so this shows that Frontier is listening.
This means that the next two packs of the year will likely introduce us to some North American scenery in October and (hopefully) a lot of European animals in the winter. If I’m correct with this theory.
I’m pretty disappointed with this pack, but I wasn’t expecting anything amazing this time around. I’m just glad we got the Porcupine! But what I am happy about is what this signals for future packs, and it shows that Frontier is listening (even if they DO hate monkeys and birds).
maybe because they are planning many more years of dlc?Well, tropical pack was supposed to be it considering half of rainforests are found in SA...
At this point no DLC can bring more than 2 sa animals. Happens.
I wonder why south america is on frontier black list.
We already have a thread for fall?My last post in the thread, I really like some picks, not fan of others, but hey we got a bunch of wislist animals. See you in fall dlc 2023 thread!

Actually a really interesting theory. I don't believe we'll get European Animal Pack but Highlands or Woodlands with 2 or more EU species is highly possibleIt is clear to me now that the packs this year are supposed to be ‘part twos’ to the packs of 2021. don't worry friend, your time will comeI'm genuinely happy for anyone whose looking forward to this pack! I truly hope you have a great time seeing your favorite animals in game.
But for me, this is by far the most disappointing DLC since launch.
An overrepresented group of animals from an overrepresented region. The return to the static motion of terrariums with the viper feels like a step back.
If not for the dromedary and porcupine, this would be the first pack I'd skip over.
We already have a thread for fall?
Then adding to that theory there's more than zero chance will see NA scenery pack with NA porcupine reusing the New Porcupine rigActually a really interesting theory. I don't believe we'll get European Animal Pack but Highlands or Woodlands with 2 or more EU species is highly possible
Can someone give me the link to the fall 2023 spec?
Thank you so much![]()
