It would only look weird if you chose to do so. Which should not be issue since the game lets you build flying rocks, trees, even whole buildings...Ohh the Viper look good! I wish we can make the glass on exhibit dissapear but maybe it would look weird witht he water exhibits like for the turtles and frogs.
Also birds
We arent sure if they are good or not in that regard. 8 birds is small sample size.
Not making them is different story on the other hand.
The Sand Cat surely is one of the most realistic looking cat models within the game. It has just not the same cuteness level as the Fennec Fox for example. Sure it belongs to the cuter looking Cats but the typical "Cat grumpyness" is also visible when I Look through the Google Pictures.
In dlcs we've got 5 birds and 5 habitat reptiles. All 10 models were great, plus the base game birds are some of the best models in the base game. I think we can say for sure they are good at making birds as far as the birds we've got, which is admittedly a small selection, but not much bigger than reptiles.

you should! because it gonna be my best habtat that I ever build (a least that is my plan...) I don't know I still didn't thought about how to design the habitat because their habitats looks boring and they don't deserve but at the same time I'm building highly realistic so idk~ you have maybe photos of porcupine habitat? someone have? I need to think even though they gonna have their own section in my zoos because that is what they deserve!
