We do this pretty much every time a dlc pack comes out, some people don't like the official roster of the pack so they make a thread about what could of been if they were in charge of making the pack. Check out the animals section of the planet zoo forums and it is full of discussions like these, I would recommend to not read these threads as if people are demanding a change.

Those would-be-replaced ones will be there. Once dlc pack new animals were announced, kind of too late for changes.
It was already explained to you that this is a theoretical thread how people would have made the Pack with changes of the incoming rooster. Everybody knows that there will be no changes and to be honest the rooster of this Pack was not only fix with the announcement but likely even months ago.
Don't bother, he's either trolling or incapable of understanding at this point.
As much as I like the animal choices of the pack here are the ones I would change

We only have 6 snakes and putting a tortoise in an exhibit would be a crime when we already have two tortoises as habitat animals.
“animal roster doesn't really satisfied most of the community” - it’s a bold opinion since most of the opinions I’ve read on insta, Facebook, Reddit and here are very in favor of this pack.

Looking back on my post...was that just 10 short days ago? I've warmed up (no pun intended) to this roster considerably. While I still think it is a tad too ungulate heavy, I think overall the roster is either a great representative of the theme or a highly requested addition that fits the theme, in several cases both.
I changed out 3 habitat animals in my initial post, but I now think the Black Rhino and Addax are good additions. Still sticking with my take on the Damas Gazelle though, we really didn't need 2 African Antelopes in one pack, and would definitely have switched it out with the Secretary Bird or Hamadryas Baboon. Likely the Baboon since..well....the Secretary Bird is a bird...and we see how that's going.
So yeah, just one habitat animal change. The Viper looks great and I'm fine with it.

Honestly it's just the sand cat that bums me out. Not only does it look comparatively bad (and yes, I am aware that some sand cats do look like that), it's the most underwhelming pick of the whole pack.
I still cannot fathom Frontier looking at this theme and completely omitting the baboon. Surely a baboon could be forged out of the mandrill rig with as much effort as it would take to make a sand cat out of the lynx rig or whatever they used.
Thorny Devil perhaps?
I personally like having such a small felid, it gives more variation for modders to work with and I personally find it super fun to design for small climbing animals, the small hitbox allows you to do things that just unfortunately won't work with the larger species. And good climbing/jumping ability allows you to have a lot of fun with foliage, rockwork, and elevation changes.
I am a bit upset with how it looks though. But I'm sure if Frontier doesn't fix them the wonderful modding community will (modders shouldn't be the ones responsible for it, but still, it's nice to know that either way it'll be fixed).
