Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Curious.
After switching to Live, I found myself back on the Level I had in November 2022, when I tried to play 4.0.
In the last few sessions, I recieved several messages from some engineers who had recieved notice of me from already unlocked engineers. Interestingly, some anonymous benefactor already fulfilled the initial contracts for them. Which gave me access to some engineers I didn't have on Legacy, as far as I can remember.
Not that I would be complaining - saved me some hassle like getting hold of some combat bonds and such...

Well, what can I say... I've found my legs. They don't look particularly nice, but they move.

What I initially thought would be a cut scene (on my first try to start Oddy), was in fact the start of the training mission...
This time I made it run.
Everything went fine until the baddies came back. More or less.
I found myself quite a few times looking at the screen scratching my head wondering what the heck they wanted me to do.
After I died, I skipped the simulation and went for a stroll in a space station. Bought me an Artemis suit and a gun. Not that I intend to use them guns, but it seems like they can come quite handy when collecting materials... At least that's what I've heard.
Due to the necessity to turn down the graphics settings even more, I am not sure if I will be playing much in Oddyssey in the foreseeable future. Horizon Live is right on the edge, but Oddyssey gets a little taxing as it is a strain on the eyes.

So there's this:

https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/04/asia/japan-ushima-wastewater-explainer-intl-hnk/index.html

Radioactive wastewater contains some dangerous elements, but the majority of these can be removed from the water, said TEPCO.
The real issue is a hydrogen isotope called radioactive tritium, which cannot be taken away. There is currently no technology available to do so.
So, Japan has boatloads of free Tritium to anybody that wants to swing buy and pick it up.

This has been a public service announcement.
