Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

What the hell?

You literally get directions and markers to your targets.
I'm told from reliable sources in Star Citizen Roberts hands direct you

In this example he autopilots your ship into dock.....(or was it how he guides money into his accounts?)

ChatJ3PT in the SQ42 updates thread:

The paid ship database is completely disconnected from the game, so it cannot be corrupted. Which is why things are re-entitled each new patch and then things earned in game are restored from LTP. You are playing a game in development so yes things earned in game can be wiped and you are warned every time you launch it. But as I said, you can do pretty much all kinds of gameplay with a starter ship so there is no big requirement to grind for anything. If you are not happy with that, either align your mindset to be realistic or don't play an Alpha in active development.

Pyro hasn't been added because of the core tech, which they just hit the second biggest milestone for in 3.18. Trying to compare that to them confirming that a ship with be available to buy in-game in 3.20 just shows how disingenuous you're willing to be because of this vitriol you're pushing.

Umm... if the paid ships database is completely disconnected from the game, how does the game know which ships you have bought? There has to be at least a one-way relationship for the game to know.

One again, he speaks with absoloute certainty and authority while spouting absoloute rubbish.

More waffle from the twaffler

  1. It's not supposed to answer "when", they do not want to do that because it is variable and subject to change and people in this community are like children in their ability to deal with that and take it seriously. However, if you actually consistently read them and don't just look for "when" then it gives a lot of indications as to the state and progress considering that things have moved from being developed first, to many thing being implemented into the wider environment for testing, refinement and balancing. Does that tell you exactly how far it is, no, but it's not meant to and anyone trying to use it for that only has themselves to blame.
  2. This statement is just baseless and only shows an emotional response, not an evidence based one. Again, if your basis for thinking what is written is accurate is based on them answering "when" then you have yourself to blame. They have shown off many aspects they talked about at Citizencon and others from the AI team were even implemented. There is plenty of evidence that it is an accurate representation of what they are working on, and zero evidence that what is written is not accurate.
They will not give dates on anything until it is finalised and they are happy with it, it will then be added to the delivery view once it has passed its review, which is not on a fixed timeline as additional refinements or tweaks may be necessary as may issues being resolved. Not sure what is so hard for people to understand about this.

Actually use the monthly reports for what they are meant to do, provide insight and detail into what is being worked on, and not use it to answer something you want it to answer. It has a huge amount of value and the only people who dispute that are either disingenuous, are using lazy excuses to not make an effort to inform themselves or are so steeped in vitriol that they just do not care what is true and just want validation for that.

He's all over that thread debating with people, deflecting, insulting people, and pulling stuff from his rear end.

Either CIG condone his behaviour or he is a CIG employee that's been given free reign.

People trying to show why the tracker and monthly reports are useless and he's defending CIG to the hilt.
