What do you think of a smaller pinniped?

I've been thinking of animals I want recently on the basis of how much actually use them. Things like the mara and coati are high up for me due to this sort of versatility. But I've also been thinking I'd really like smaller pinniped.

I never find myself using the California Sealion cause it's just so big. I feel like getting a smaller species would be able to fit into a lot more zoos and would be widley used by players even if their less exciting then other picks. I'd really love getting something like a Brown Fur Seal or Australian sealion, what do you think?

I’m hoping to get the Common (Harbour) Seal. That way, we can have mixed species pinniped exhibits (with California Sea Lion and Grey Seal respectively), as well as having a ‘smaller’ seal species.

In terms of smaller species, the Harbour Seal is certainly a notable one. It's common in captivity and only reaches 2 metres long or 6 feet. A Fur Seal or smaller Sea Lion of a kind would be cool too. In terms of pinnipeds, some larger species such as the Walrus and Northern Elephant Seal certainly could come into the game due to their unique looks.

Walrus, Elephant seal and the Leopard seal first, and for a smaller piniped, I would go for harbor seal. Common and a well known species of seal. I would just like some more pinnipeds to PZ :)

Walrus should be a priority of course but I'd definitely like to see a double dip on both the eared and earless seals in the future! A fur seal would be very nice as we could get a pinniped for the Southern Hemisphere that way. Harbour seal would also be very nice as a smaller seal and it would be a nice way to reuse the grey seal rig.

I'll take a harp seal, even if they're not really in any real amount of zoos. They are slightly smaller than the grey seal..and oh the seal pups. So cute! I realize the grey seal pups are almost the same but they just don't quite get to the same level of cuteness.

I think the difference in size between California sea lions, Australian sea lions, and brown fur seals is small enough that it would be barely noticeable in game. As a smaller pinniped the harbour seal would be the obvious choice. I wish we had received the harbour seal in place of the grey seal, but at this point I think another pinniped is hard to justify. Certainly the most popular choice would be the walrus.

AMEN! I've seen Harp Seals near greenland, on the pack ice. They are really lovely. Another might be the ribbon seal, also really unique! :D

I never really thought the sea lion would be classed as big when against an elephant seal or the walrus. I actually prefer using the sea lion since I think the grey seal is rather big for smaller aquatic habitats. That be said another smaller pinniped in the form of a harbour seal would be very welcoming for my north american zoos.

I would gladly accept 3 more pinnipeds. Two big, one of them the walrus and the other one could be Steller's sea lion, elephant seal or leopard seal (by my order of preference).
For the smaller one, I think Australian sea lion (as much as I like it) or harbour seal would be too similar to what we already have. I vote for some fur seal as a representative of the southern hemisphere.

The Australian selion is actually closer to fur seals then it is to the California sealion. Though a brown fur seal or new Zealand fur seal would be pretty. I know their both very charismatic from seeing them in the wild and would be great for small aquatic reps.

Walrus is my priority but I would also really like a harbour seal and spotted seal. Firstly, they are cute, but more importantly that would give us some North Pacific true seal representation.

Il take 1 more eared seal and 1 more true seal
I think fur seals would be appropriate as the eared seal rep. In particular I think the New Zealand or brown fur seal would be a good rep for Australia.
Now for the true seal rep, I’m not 100% sure. Harbor seals come on a variety of colors but I feel they are too basic.
