Honestly, I know I should be used to it, but some the numbers bandied around in this latest kerfuffle are just nuts...

The numbers involved in both the value of the accounts and sheer number of folk bailing isn't just surprising, it's turning from a trickle into a substantial flow. This is starting to echo the pattern of the great 2016-2017 exodus, the only difference being it's not refunds being demanded but folk just dumping their entire accounts onto the grey market in frustration. What's also different from the usual seasonal slump or angry backlash on Spectrum against something Ci~G have done is the attitude of almost final resignation I'm reading in those reddit posts...and that air of resignation seems to be pushing those still on the edge into just following suit.
These guys aren't the usual and persistently angry squeakers from the refunds sub...for the most part, they seem to be genuine long haul supporters just giving up.
Streamers and content creators are struggling for viewers and talking openly of giving up... erstwhile regular players just aren't playing... all amidst a drift of big money backers shuffling toward the back door in, apparently, ever increasing numbers. If Ci~G aren't paying attention already...they should be. The way it's shaping up, it'll take far more than a couple of ship sales to quell the disaster that 3.18, 3.19 and the increasing discontent surrounding Sqn 404 have wrought since the end of last year.
From a personal perspective, I haven't played at all bar popping my head in the door for every patch...not since 3.17 around November of last year. I'm also looking at the list of perennial jpegs and barely functional or half finished bling barges in my ship list and seriously considering just punting them off on some other idiot as surplus to requirement, so I certainly empathise with the attitude of general apathy shown by those reddit posters.
