Worth pointing out that the scenery doesn't have to match the animals.However...since the North American pack was an animal pack, we'd get some kind of scenery with this instead. "Alpine" scenery ...whatever that means....

Not surprising. Children's zoo pack is forum exclusive thing without much support from generic audience. People truly want straight up farm with familiar goats and rabbits, because they know these animals and associate them with petting zoos.I've seen the petting zoo or farm pack getting a lot of track on YouTube lately, unfortunally. And not a Children's zoo pack with cool wild animals. A straight up farm pack with ponnies, rabbits, goats and pigs.
How dare you?!ay least there is no ABB in it![]()
Which also doesn't sound so bad, you knowNot surprising. Children's zoo pack is forum exclusive thing without much support from generic audience. People truly want straight up farm with familiar goats and rabbits, because they know these animals and associate them with petting zoos.
I agree with this, but not just for the arid pack, if you look at the trailers of the other animal packs like the grasslands pack it stays in the same map and environment, so making the shift from a colder mountain peak to a hot desert isn’t something I can imagine they would do.Nobody has forgotten, but let's be real here, if the theme is 'Mountains' the image that will be conjured up is flowery, grassy mountain meadows and snow-capped peaks. The gelada is the monkey that fits there, not the Hamadryas baboon, which lives in arid environments. Call it defeatist or pessimistic if you like but I'm pretty certain the window of opportunity for the Hamadryas baboon closed with the Arid Pack. If we do get a 'baboon', it will probably be the 'not-really-a-baboon' gelada. Which kind of sucks, speaking personally.
Only way I can see us getting the Hamadryas baboon now is if they do a localised Middle Eastern Pack, a true Desert Pack, or, completely out of left field, a full Primate Pack or Old World Monkey Pack or something.I agree with this, but not just for the arid pack, if you look at the trailers of the other animal packs like the grasslands pack it stays in the same map and environment, so making the shift from a colder mountain peak to a hot desert isn’t something I can imagine they would do.
Yes it does. So boring. How dare you?!

Are they really? I mean, yeah, Southern blues have black beards, but doesn't the Western white bearded tend to have kind of longer beards?Fun fact: its not.
Or atleast subspecies frontier chosen. In game wildebeest is famous subspecies from serengeti plains (western white-bearded wildebeest), which itself isnt found in european zoos at all.
I believe most captive specimens come from south africa (black-bearded subspecies).
Maybe in NA situation looks different, but I dont know.
A Safari pack perhaps? Also can tie in the Secretary Bird.Only way I can see us getting the Hamadryas baboon now is if they do a localised Middle Eastern Pack, a true Desert Pack, or, completely out of left field, a full Primate Pack or Old World Monkey Pack or something.
Unfortunately I have to agree about the Hamadryas baboon, even though I’ve listed them for my own highlands pack it’s not likely.Nobody has forgotten, but let's be real here, if the theme is 'Mountains' the image that will be conjured up is flowery, grassy mountain meadows and snow-capped peaks. I feel pretty similar. Im not at all against a petting zoo/domestics pack, but its not something i want if its just 2 more pack. If we get support for 2024. sure give it to me.Yes it does. So boring.
Tbh is not that i'm 100% opposed to a farm/domestic pack but if we really have 2/3 DLC left then i do not want it at all. Is a waste opportunity for so many other animals imo. If we get confirmation of another full year of support then sure give us a domestics pack even if it is not something i'm interested in. At least in that case i still have hope for the other type of animals i want to make it into the game despite getting a full DLC dedicated to domestics.
I mean I can do without the Mara, but Secretary bird and baboon I’ll be a bit upset if we don’t get them.Frankly I have my doubts about the Hamadryas Baboon, Secretary Bird, Patagonian Mara, at this point.
I understand your point.Yes it does. So boring.

Funny. i can do without the baboon actually, but will be sad if we don't get the mara (even though i know is not very likely but is kind of a key animal for me for local fauna and local zoo rep)I mean I can do without the Mara, but Secretary bird and baboon I’ll be a bit upset if we don’t get them.
An update like that would be cool but that scenery doesn't excite me in the slightless either lolI understand your point.
However, if we are to get a petting zoo/children's zoo/farm pack, then we'd likely get an update revolved around guests petting animals, feeding them, and maybe improved walkthrough behaviors?
Plus, the scenery would be things like tractors, hay bales, maybe even western pieces?
For me personally I wouldn’t really be excited for a scenery theme like this. Although the only theme I want is a log cabin style theme cause I like to build realistic and modern.Plus, the scenery would be things like tractors, hay bales, maybe even western pieces?

We could use a log theme, also. It'd fitFor me personally I wouldn’t really be excited for a scenery theme like this. Although the only theme I want is a log cabin style theme cause I like to build realistic and modern.
