Too early to say its stable but no ctds or loss of connection
Can't say for sure SC is stable but a damn sight better than the weekend.
Sorry cmdrs
Hate to say it... but it's true.

If both are compared it's because they are pretty similar for what their goal is (space multi sim).
Outside of SC and ED (NMS is not really a multi), there is not too much choice (DU is collapsing) and no other game like them has been announced.
No they're not, ED is a space flight sime, but SC is trying to be a walk around, space life, everything game. They're not comparable.

If you want to compare SC to something compare it to Tetris, they're both games for blocks that tries to fit together in a limited amount of time with the player spinning it around to fit whatever shape they need.

To be fair, Elite Dangerous is also trying to be this. With the emphasis on trying. They’re just not doing a great job at it.

They’re just doing a lot better job at it than Star Citizen, which is really saying something. Especially since they’re doing it for a small percentage of SC’s budget, and haven’t been crowd funded since 2012. Sold a Lifetime Extension Pack for far more it was worth, true, but not crowd funded.

Indeed, I mean for the price of early Alpha access with lifetime expansion (which included early access to Horizon's & Odyssey) an actual schedule for Beta and beyond, lots of paint-jobs, access to design forums and messing about with David Braben in the asteroid filed of an evening) I could have had 4 CitizenCon 2953 digital goodie packs.

I don't know what the box price (all contents) of Star Citizen is, we know the Legatus pack is $40k but that doesn't include everything in the game does it?

Good news, servers are meshed* but it's Tier -500 so only those that understand game development will notice the difference and it's early days so no hate only praise.

Rejoice and support through pledge high of our exclusive Server Mesh digital goodies package but hurry. Still in stock!

*Time spent on the meshed servers rebuts the claim that the servers are not meshed.

Representative size.
A little less than the official polls, but not by a wide margin relatively to total backers/registered accoutns :]

Q: What should we do with the crowdfunding counter after we reach our goal? (Total Votes: 21076 - 8% of Citizens, 12% of alpha backers)

  1. 5% - Take the funds raised counter down after $23 million (mission achieved!)
  2. 7% - Have the funding counter display the amount towards the current stretch goal / feature, not the total amount once we reach $23M.
  3. 88% - Keep it up through development and continue to offer stretch goal rewards in addition to extra features and development milestones.

Q: Should we continue to offer stretch goals? (Total Votes: 34590 - 7% of Citizens, ~14% of alpha backers)

  1. 55% - Yes
  2. 26% - No
  3. 20% - No preference

I love the transparency of their development:

Remember when FD changed the gold paint job? After the backlash they created a new gold skin (free for existing owners) so people could choose between original and new.

If this is true.... That paint is why i bought the 400i. I'll be up in arms. It would be such an unethical thing to do.

Of all the shady stuff CIG have done, and this, this is what gets them to call out CIG for being unethical?

Ok, that's it! I'm leaving the planet! Anyone got a spare Sub-Etha Sens-O-Matic?

Not sure what's up with Hull C docking, but it seems to involve some booms...

That one seemed to be an auto-dock gone wrong.

This one seems a bit more explicable. There was a load of Hull C wreckage around the docking collar he was trying to use. So possibly he bonked some and had a physics party....

(Or he just got rammed. Could also explain the prior wreckage ;))

Who to blame? Incompetence or malice...
