I'm trying not to go too crazy with expectations either, but I'm failing lol. Not expecting birds though I'd be thrilled if it was that. Am expecting something with the Tasmanian Devil, so I will be surprised if we don't get something with that. There's nothing to give even a shred of evidence of what could be coming, aside from the fact something is coming. Also I have ot remember Frontier is not obligated to have to put any particular animals in the pack or even game. Tasmanian Devil is certainly extremely likely but they don't have to include it.I’m choosing not to believe in anything, building myself up hoping for a game changing dlc will likely just get me disappointed over something I made up in my head. A lot of people are thinking temperate pack next, but who knows what it will be. Last year it was Wetlands, to Conservation, to Twilight, to Grasslands. So while temperate is realistic, don’t be surprised if Frontier mixes it up again.
Would I love 1 (or more) birds? Sure. Would I love more reptiles and amphibians. Definitely. Would I love new world monkeys. Of course. But getting into my own head will likely just make me predict wrong and then get mad over something that wasn’t going to happen.
I hate to say it, while there definitely was valid criticisms, I think that is what largely created the negative response around the Arid Pack.
@Mayki I don't think the Arid pack was the most negatively received DLC so far - I think the people who had complaints about it - myself included - were just very "loud" about it.
Now for what pack I do think got a very lukewarm reception was the Twilight pack. One fairly highly requested animal and a lot of disappointment that the Red Fox could have been the Maned Wolf (a moot point now) and the Striped Skunk could have been the Tasmanian Devil; or at least one of the two should have been changed out. It also had its scenery set be very niche in terms Halloween/spooky theme and also a more extreme branch of European architecture.
