Part of me is currently really hoping we get another turtle this pack, there's a few good options. What would you want in a Temperate pack turtle wise?
If this next pack really is themed around Woodlands/Temperate habitats, I’m really hoping our NA rep for the pack will be an Alligator Snapping Turtle. Would go perfectly with a log cabin or Native American building set, and would be our first habitat turtle. Honestly, if this happens it’d be the best PZ animal inclusion Frontier has done all year, imo. So many unique animations/behaviors and the rig would be SO useful from a modding perspective.

A Bayou Exhibit with some Alligators too, I mean come on.. How cool would that be??

From the UK:

1. European Bison
2. Eurasian Wild Boar
3. European Pine Marten
4. European Polecat
5. Eurasian River Otter
6. Eurasian Beaver
7. European Hedgehog
8. Eurasian Red Squirrel
9. Mountain Hare
10. Scottish Wildcat
11. Common Mallard Duck
12. Mute Swan
13. Scottish Highland Cattle
14. Jersey Cattle
15. Oxford Sandy and Black
16. British Saddleback Pig
17. Shetland Pony
18. Clydesdale Horse
19. Gallineer’s Cob
20. Anglo Nubian Goat
-
1. Common Barn Owl
2. Tawny Owl
3. Peregrine Falcon
4. Golden Eagle
5. Atlantic Puffin
-
1. European Adder
2. Common Frog
3. Marsh Frog
4. Common Toad
5. Great Crested Newt

I’ve split the list here into habitat animals, walkthrough exhibit or aviary animals, and exhibit box animals. Of course the flying birds are wishful thinking, so I only included 5 of the UK’s most iconic species.

I have included domestics in my list, simply due to the UK’s strong ties with agriculture and the countryside. I believe for the UK to be well represented to the point of completion, some UK-originating domestic species would be absolutely necessary.

Additionally, I’ve included reintroduced species, but not introduced. For example, I’ve included the European Bison (which was once native to the forests of the UK before it went regionally extinct, but thanks to reintroduction efforts, has been brought back to UK woodlands). But, I haven’t included species like the Mandarin Duck or Muntjac Deer, which were never NATIVE to the United Kingdom!

I do hope to get all of these species added in one day, but of course I know it is totally unrealistic. Still, I can dream! :)

Ok, here is a question. Alongside with the overall building theme what kind of enrichment and nature pieces do you guys expect to see?
For temperate nature I hope for a mix of a couple trees and a lot of shrubs and bushes. I think we have enough trees for temperate and cold climate but I feel we're lacking with shrubs- that or a new variation of grass.

For enrichment? Oh thats easy, none.

Well any enrichment would be nice for a change, but expect? None really since frontier has stopped making new ones. For nature, well any north american or european trees, shrubs and grass is most likely.

Assuming it's temperate/woodland, I'd love to see some North American trees of a darker shade of green, maybe some new "dead" trees, and shrubs galore like folks have said.

Also: I would honestly love a flexicolor tree (or three, hah). Not expecting it but... I'd love it.

For enrichment items, I'm not really expecting anything but depending on the animals I could see us getting a new variation of existing things (e.g., a darker/mossy variation of the hollow log) or a new scratch pad. I'm not expecting much in this regard, though I will say that if we get the NA river otter and a slide enrichment? My heart will be full.

Discussion question I’m curious to hear more about - what are your top 5 animals that you think could work well as Walkthrough Exhibits and that you’d like to see in game?
My number one is NA songbirds, cardinals, chickadees, finches etc.
Two would be Parakeets
Three maybe flying squirrels
idk for the rest

Assuming we can include birds,
  1. Budgies. Small, and with a large group of 3-4 different species of them it could really bring something new to the WTEs.
  2. Hummingbirds. Hummingbirds are so unique and so cool to watch fly around.
  3. Sugar Glider. In the case we dont get birds in the WTE I think the sugar glider would be a good contender. Not as fresh as budgies or hummingbirds but I would still appreciate it.
  4. Owls. The only species of bird of prey I think can work in the WTE because of how little they fly around. At my local zoo they have a Great Horned Owl, not once have I seen him move, just turn his head and ruffle his feathers.
  5. Tamarins and Marmosets. I know this is an unpopular opinion but I would still like these guys in the WTE. The exhibit just needs to shrink a bit. Because of the controversy and requirements for these guys, they rank last.
  6. (Bonus) A Second Sloth. Very unlikely, but I would be happy for another sloth, especially a two toed sloth. I wish we got multiple subspecies of them in the tropical pack but I know thats asking for too much.
