Sticking with my hunch of it being a costal pack. Will just be happy with new animals and building pieces. And reallllllyyyy hoping (but not expecting) the update to be decent.
I think any new mechanics (birds or marine) would make more sense to release for a Christmas pack but I may be wrong!
This night I dreamed about the announcement : a lot of foliage in the free update with a lot of "flower cactus", so we deduced there were no foliage in the DLC, so maybe another Animal Pack, with Patagonian Mara and Secretary Bird !!

Well whatever we’ll get in the next 6 hours and 44 minutes, I just want frontier to surprise me. The oddball species better be amazing if we are to have one.
An oddball species likely will be a secret until tommorow. But I am also excited. Personally I prefer animal Packs but I am pretty sure we will get a Scenery Pack this time. Scenery could be Out of nowhere or perhaps I could imagine Islands related specifically focusing on Scenery for 1 or 2 Islands.
Will be interesting to see what we will get.

After playing again i realised that im mostly quite content with the roster since grasslands, my biggest wants made it in and the only missing ones are monkeys where i just accepted to never be satisfied without mods and waterfowl where id be happy if we get even just one.
Have the last 2 packs been pretty mid? Yes but both had atleast one really cool new thing (gibbon climbing overhaul, fossa, sloth, porcupine) and the tropical update also was pretty good finally adressing some management issues.
If the next 2 packs give atleast 1 more bigger update thing and a very cool animal each like a pelican id be fine with the game and even without them, whatever we get will only add to an extremly great game thats finally at the point where i judge it more by what it is then what it left out

I’m super anxious lol, I really really want this to be it for the devil. I’ve been let down so many times already, and the idea of them still not being in the game more than a year after the Twilight Pack is chilling to me.

Well its a possibility. I have hope we are getting birds, part of me wants coastal solely for a sea otter, or whatever theme frontier has come up with this time pretty much no one has a clue what the correct theme will actually be.
I meant it hasn't come up. I haven't seen anyone discussing it at all. Besides "islands" but that's a little more specific than just general "coastal". Technically anything is a possibility - a 0.1% chance is still a chance, after all.
Edit: and if we get birds I will eat my hat (it's a safe bet - I don't own a hat).

Oh right, well just remember that Reddit is about 3 years behind us in terms of discussion, and YouTubers speculate on whatever they think gets them the most clicks.

Same here, I thought I would be home for the livestream but I will still be at work. I work in a biochemestry reasearch lab and well... living organisms can't let you do what you want when you want it
I will just not look at social media to avoid the spoils and I will watch the live later in the evening.
It depends where in Sydney my place gets tons of rainbow lorikeets and bats as well as the occasional possum but yeah the cbd is pretty dead.
I think a Coastal Animal Pack is plausible--not as a real aquarium pack but as something headlined by the walrus and also including, say, a pelican, sea otter, and some sort of penguin, with the exhibit being a single semi-aquatic or fully aquatic exhibit box.
Either way, I still wouldn't be certain of a temperate pack even if it's the most logically sound guess for the moment.
