Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Not trying to be a downer here, but a Oceania Pack with no Tree Kangaroo would just suck in my opinion.

Still holding out hope that the smiling drink refers to them. Quokka is basically a mini Wombat to me.

Also, I am surprised that Frontier decided to make a mini-animal pack since all of them are really tiny. No more charismatic megafauna here. I guess that's why they introduced the bubble feature to allow them to add more small animals because otherwise guests can't see them and then you'd have to build small habitats for them which many players might not like...

Actually mini animals are severely lacking, any dlc that boosts smaller habitats is a win for the ongoing roster diversity.

Islands - Tiki Theme
Firecracker Punch - Tasmanian Devil
Sunshine Smile - Sulawesi Macaque
Getaway Glow - Kiwi
Cerulean Pebble - Penguin / Turtle
Citris Blossom - Orchid Mantis

Oh and the brachiating tank coming through.

Just remembered about that whole Monkey selfie legal drama. You're onto something with the Macaque. I pray.

I definitely don't think the quokka would suck. And I'd be very, very into its inclusion in the game. I would just prefer the tree kangaroo. Either would be great but I'm team tree kangaroo.

Mostly because I just want them more, in general, and because I think it would add a bit more versatility to the critters. They all feel very "low to the ground" so far. Haha. Which, y'know, makes sense that the bubble would be added. But still.

Nothing is 100% confirmed, only orangutan brachiation

99% will be devil and kiwi
At 80% quokka, little blue penguin
As for the last one, people (including me) are betting on rainbow lorikeet
i like when people use percentages because they are never right lol

now seriously it's gonna be tassie, kiwi, tree roo and rockhopper, no idea about the exhibit one but maybe lorikeet

tasmanian devil confirmed
kiwi confirmed
we might gonna get or Quokka or Tree Kangaroo or Sulawesi crested macaque
probably Little Blue Penguin
and maybe Lorikeet for walkthrough exhibit
If we get a Tree Kangaroo instead of Quokka, that would be almost a perfect Oceania pack for me. Only missing the echidna, which I suspect Frontier may be saving for a children's zoo pack cause it looks like a hedgehog. Also releasing it now would be a bit too close to the porcupine release in my opinion since they both have quills.

That's why I hope that sunshine smile means Tree Kangaroo, I know that Quokka is cute, but I will never use this animal in my zoos which is why I rather to have Tree Kangaroo than Quokka.

This is an unavoidable trend. We already saw this with the cats: all the big ones are in the game, and then we get the caracal and sand cat. It makes sense that they add the most charismatic large species first, and what's left is ungulates and the rest. Of course, if they could predict the game's lifespan, it would be different, but they can't.

However, I don't think it's a bad development per se. Especially for Oceania, there aren't many big species anyway and we now get birds, which is a big selling point. In any case, I think the animal selection will be a bit more interesting than what we got for Twilight. Plus, most animals on the wishlist aren't that big anyway, especially after the Arid Pack eliminated some giants.

Yes, Echidna is a really likely choice for a Future DLC. At least If we get content until next year. Frontier Always reuses new things and in Most of the cases Not within the following Pack. And reusing the quills screams to me either Echidna or New world Porcupine at one day.
