Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Just catching up. I watched the livestream but only just got time to pick up on things here.

I have to say, I am so, so excited. I feel like tonight is Christmas Eve hoping that they will confirm the DLC tomorrow.

I am really obsessed with New Zealand and Australia fauna at the moment and have lots of zoo building ideas. This (assuming we are getting more or less what most of us expect) couldn’t have come at a better time for me.

My big hope at the moment is for some New Zealand plants and trees.

Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Just putting it out there, if this was an Islands Animal Pack I'd loose my mind, especially if it was like this:

1. Tasmanian Devil
2. North Island Brown Kiwi
3. Pacific Walrus
4. Matschie's/Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
5. Little Blue Penguin
6. Caribbean Flamingo
7. Ebony Langur
8. Rainbow Lorikeet (WE)/Chameleon sp. or Gecko sp. (E)

Do I expect this, absolutely not! It would be awesome though. I'm honestly juat happy that it's probably not a Woodlands DLC. Islands is so much more interesting to me personally!

Oh man, sorry man. I can relate: paper wasps are not nice folks and the little jerks sting over and over again. I burn their nests to the ground...

But seriously, stay cool. Get some ice cream or popsicles and rest up. Big day tomorrow

Yep! My interests zoo-wise split mainly between Europe/Eurasia and Australasia.

One of my last and most complete ZT2 projects was a New Zealand zoo and I’ve been thinking about trying a remake/follow up in Planet Zoo for a while now.

I’ve also been thinking of doing a kind of Zoos Victoria style project with a city zoo, open range zoo and native fauna park all run by the same organisation. But given how slowly I build, I think that’s a bit ambitious.

One of the cocktails had mango and orange blossoms, which lorikeet like. Personally I see them go towards native bottlebrush, banksia, and grevilleas more often. I think fruit bats could be more of an option

I'd imagine they would... But not sure how much I'd read into that as I don't think it's commonly referenced as a particular favorite of theirs or anything like that. I just did a quick search and it didn't pop-up in anything I'd consider "reputable" (most of those sites just reference apples, grapes, and bananas).

The Citrus Blossom. Though this could just as easily be another type of bird - and maybe even flying foxes.

got a bowl of choclate ice cream and turned my fairy lights in my room on, nice and comfy now (edit: they were actual bees too not wasps, so they left the venom stingers in me)

mango and flower were the main mocktail ingredients which are two of the lorikeets favorite foods

Is clearly within the Lottery for the Last Cocktail. Someone other mentioned shortly after the Stream the Orchid Mantis which I personally see as more likely as it Camouflage itself by flower looking skin. But I think the majority is on the Lorikeet train at the moment which I would find cool at the end.
