Also now that the penguin species is confirmed, this definitely limits our chances of every actually getting a rockhopper as our now fourth penguin, which was something I was always sort of hoping to see.

Full steam ahead for tree kangaroo in Highlands now, I guess.

This makes not so much sense to me. Either they save them for a sequel to have a reason people should buy that or they are Just Not so far to make them good. But why they should Hype us with Flying birds Just to Stop the Hype directly with stopping selling further DLC.
Nevertheless we guessed very good yesterday and I am overall happy about the rooster. As far as I can say about the new bat after looking to Google Pictures IT seems to be a much bigger species than the Last years one. And Not to say the Pack comes really already next week. I did not really expect that. I thought we would have to wait one week longer.

Unsure if you got an answer yet, too much to read here.
But you can at least find some places mentioned here, even though this might be outdated by now.

And when googling them a housekeeping manual for them in Australian Zoos shows up (but that looks rather old too)
But some kind of captive presence in Australia seems to either exist or have existed recently.

Will look more into it later as I probably will add them to Canopy Gardens at some point.

Tbh, there's nothing in the animal roster which technically can't be shipped off to a US/European zoo if they wanted. So imagine a US/Europe zoo was the first to exhibit all these species, they'd make some nice headlines. So think about it that way.

It was in response to "no one cares about American zoos," which is just factually false. Hope the players who want to make Oceanic zoos enjoy the pack, but that doesn't change how it personally does nothing for me and a bunch of other people.

I think the better point to raise is that the flying fox isn't in zoos in the US or Europe or anywhere else. Don't let the "US" thing trip you up.
