The Squadron 42 trailer looks cool, but it's taken them outrageously long to develop and $600+ million dollars milked from backers. For these reasons it doesn't deserve a high score. CIG's scandalous business practices shouldn't be praised.

As an experiment, I think I'll park a ship on the frozen water. If SC claims to have persistence, and orbits, it will have seasons, and at some point that ship ought to at least partly submerge.

If it doesn't - it's another load of waveyhanded waffle.

EDIT: I'd not realized this was the first "real" citcon in a while due to the sniffles, for a lot of the new marks citizens, it's their first. So the hopium levels are unusually high.

Yes, but that's in the SC universe, where the clocks absolve themselves from their nominated time.

Edit: Which just reminded me... during SaltEMike's citcon stream, he got a bit excited and said words to the effect, "At last we know when the Idris is being released," after CIG had just said it will be released when SQ404 is released. You can't make this stuff up.

No date. I think he said 'next 12 months'.

My bad. He said 'next 12 months' for everything before the Squadron section, and that this stuff 'wouldn't be gated by Squadron'.

So maybe Squadron is more than 12 months?!
