You can visit and take a look keeping your distance in any ship. I used my short range exploration DBX with a 72ly jump range for my first look.

I take it inter-/hyperdictions are not an issue on route there?

They tend to happen quite often - not as bad as a maelstrom system, but you will encounter scouts, hunters and interceptors on the way - if you can boost above 500m/s you should still be ok - though you can always relog if things get hectic…

If you want to land, fly in low towards the edge of the site if you don’t have a pulse neutraliser - it’s best to avoid the little “glow stars” which are EMP mines, though if your ship is shut down, you will hopefully drop not too hard and should be able to land once your systems reboot. SRV recommended for getting around, though one is least detectable on foot…

We’ll probably go back later today, though - so let know if you’d like to join - have an extra seat and quite a few SRV’s/SLF’s on my ship… :]

I am planning the same thing.
I have almost all engineers unlocked, except those who require the 5000 ly trip and Lori Jameson who requires a high combat rank, and those in Colonia of course.

It's Quite profitable. So far, I'm only at cb5 and have found 10+ first foot fall bio planets with two or more bio signals. There are a lot of singles signal planets that I don't bother with. By the time I get back to the bubble I will have made well over a billion on bio and 50mil+ on exploration. Credits aren't everything but they don't hurt, I am also looking for level five raw materials. Selenium is common at 3 to 4 % but I haven't found any others at that level yet.

I think the only ship I have that comes close to that is the Shooting Star...

I stand corrected. With a little tweak, the Champion would be able to do that, too...

That was fun. Thanks for the ride.
My only regret is that I missed a step high up on the spire and made an unintentional attempt at base jumping - without a parachute. After that, orange sideys shot me right out of the cockpit of CMDR ]M['s 'Conda during the glide approach to the site, several times.
In the end, I had to call it a day, as time ran out for me and my computer signaled me that it would love to take a break from all the multiplayer shenanigans. Will definitely try this again at another day.

Thanks, was fun - and thank you for a very forgiving picture of the fighter docking - Riley seemed to want to stay outside so I had to switch the controls & do it myself... i think i got it finally on the 3rd attempt ;] Nice pics of the site too!

Roll of the dice. I made it in with by exploration DBX which isn't exactly durable, stealthy or fast.
Have you got something with 500MJ shields that can boost to 460m/s+?
A Python can work. So can a tougher but slower Anaconda.
