Congratulations to everyone on Halloween, but not to me!

Dear friends! Congratulations to everyone on Halloween. However, I'm not up to the holiday right now and not up to some pumpkin I love. My favorite game since the purchase has never thrown me on the desktop... and here it is again, again...
 
Heh, I can't login at all: "Your account is not linked...blah-blah-blah...you don't own the game...blah-blah-blah...give us a code...blah-blah-blah..."
Noticed this after yesterday's Steam update - could be related
 
Sure sounds like the servers are on the wonk(I’ve seen mentions in Elite discord servers of this issue). Either it’s just the usual Elite stuff, or they’re preparing something that is messing with them.

Not going to place bets on either possibility…


Yeah, so it’s just an usual problem with the Steam account link then.

Went through the process of relogging with frontier account and relinking steam to frontier account.
Seems this happens every year. Wonder if steam scrambles account IDs as a security thing.
Anyway, was able to log in.
 
I had problems earlier - I just exited three GeforceNow Steam sessions after getting to a "Your account is not linked" message, but the fourth launch worked fine - got into the game OK without me changing anything.

I intermittently get the "Your account is not linked" message, and exiting Steam and relaunching has always worked fine. Needed three extra tries today, so as you say, summat's up.
