I find it strange that the monorail operates one car at a time rather than having groups of cars (linked together like a train) possible. Amusement parks and zoos I have been to with monorail rides (thinking the San Diego Safari Park and Disneyland) have the cars linked together, which is more efficient. It would add a touch of realism, and design flexibility, if the monorail rides had the option at least of setting them up to run more like the trains.
Note, as I understand it, the SDZ Safari Park has recently replaced their old monorail with a tram ride that gets even closer to the open African habitats and even goes through them in some spots (I really want to go there again next time I am down in Southern CA). The original tram was nearly 40 years old, which makes me feel old, because I remember going on it as a kid shortly after it opened! I also recall they always had a problem with the thing breaking down. Clearly they didn't have enough little mechanics who could be summoned within seconds!
