Visayan warty pigs are distinctly grayish, though, while our new animal is definitely more brown. It would have to be a distinctively misleading color morph for it to be the Visayan warty pig.

I'm 99% certain it's the wild boar.

It's a peccary because it's running in the grasslands, NOT the forest like a boar would!

It is a temperate map and wild boars are in various landscapes

Oh I'm so excited. Both the wild boar or a peccary would be a great addition. Those complaining that we could be getting a second European ungulate on a row... well it's been a year in between and a pig and a deer are very different.

I hope we get the one that is not in a future dlc too, both animals deserve to be in the game.

Boar or peccary, it's a fantastic choice either way! Both are very useful piggies.

Not sure but legs seems to be too short and too thin for a wild boar. I think it’s gonna be a peccary

I’d love the Wild Boar the most for the Europe rep, but it means more than likely no dedicated Eurasia pack… So hoping for the Peccary this anniversary, Eurasia pack for winter! OR, ideal scenario, Wild Boar anniversaryAND Eurasia Pack winter! (A boy can dream)

So, after catching a glimpse of the mouth up-close? I think I'm leaning more peccary now. Not reading too much into the map/surrounding environment, even though this fits better. Hah.

Regarding the wood piece in the back... I have no idea what that is. Could be new, could be something custom hah. Curious, though!

Definitely not part of the normal log, none of the wood pieces match that currently.

Guessing: Peccary
Considering Peccarys were very wished for by the community it's a generous gift. (I would have still prefered a Flamingo or Black Bear, but a gift is a gift is a gift.)

On closer examination I am going with a collared peccary. A Chacoan would be even more coarse and wiry.

In germany wild boars run in a city bank and find forests really overrated

Since North America has not received any animal yet this year and South America has only got the sloth, I'm leaning towards a peccary, especially the collared peccary since it adds representation to both continents. if it turns out to be a wild boar, I won't complain at all.

Probably a peccary which is actually a nice addition. Just in case it could still be a wild boar I’d take either one.
