Someone posted a video of "PVP" (lol) where a guy boarded their ship and was waiting for them to leave comms range so not to get crime stat. Which sounds really cool.
But.
The desync was so bad, that, throughout the whole encounter, the invader just stood still looking at the place where the pilot should be. (Hence my lol)
In all this time the pilot: got out of comms, slide the chair back, stood up, went behind cover (2nd pilots chair), took out their rifle, leaned out, aimed through a scope, shot the invader in the head, effectively one-shotting him.
(He also got damage from something, but that's another matter).
The guy just stood there all this time, staring, didn't even move.
The author of the video praised this as amazing pvp. When I pointed out that this is total garbage by even the lowest pvp standards due to the desync, he said this (it was a tirade how other pvp shooters are garbage, but he opened with this line)
"Beautifully imperfect game", the poetry in these 3 words aside, he meant it as a good thing... i think?
I just can't even sometimes with these people
