Hey, not saying there's something wrong with cat's ears. Or demon horns. Kidding aside, I have not been in game since they released, so I had no chance to check the new cosmetics out.

The shoulder pads make them look a bit too toy-like for my taste. But more options is never bad.

A massive hit and miss IMO. Ugly and awful colour choices I imagine if a Power Ranger mated with a Teletubby something like this would be the result.
I wish people responsible for designing those suits would look for inspiration elsewhere. For all things Starfield got wrong, at least they hit the spot with suit design imo.
Nevertheless I think Frontier should keep selling those customisations color separate, like in case of those Wraith ones. I actually rarely like and feel the need to have all parts of the suit, I usually like just one or two parts and I never, ever need all 3 colors. Therefore pricing for Wraith is much more acceptable and I might consider buying some crappy suit that I would otherwise avoid.

So in a game where you have distinct design aesthetics for Imperial, Federal and non aligned ships / people, we get something so generic it makes vanilla custard eaten off a beige plate in an Ikea cafeteria look exciting.

I really like the tan suit, helmet and kneepads mixed with green Artemis parts. Shame we can't buy individual pieces, because that's the precise suit color I want for my Dominator:
Other than that, the full kit has some strong WH40k Space Marine or Heinlein's Mobile Infantry or even Schlock Mercenary vibes. Not the look I personally dig, but kind of retrofuturistic cheesy pulp sci-fi cool.

While I think they're ok, I do think you make a great point that having some specific Empire, Federation & Alliance styled gear available to purchase would be a great idea. In the same manner it would be good to see some 'normal' attire available like parade uniforms, formal/casual wear etc.. to customize the look of your commander as well.
I'm still holding out for the full Easter Bunny outfit...Nice to have new options. Some people just don't like change

How Frontier can keep coming up with these terrible designs for the cosmetics is beyond me. They look like they’re designed by a Power Rangers fan rather than anyone with an interest in good sci-fi. Another face palm from me I’m afraid.

You even have free AI tools that can give you better design ideas. Why not use them to get ideas?
