Winter 2023 PDLC speculation

The company is having layoffs and might affect jwe2 look at bestinslot video. certain things from the movies they can’t add licensing agreements problems especially legal ones too if a company like ford or someone who made jp fences may not want their product in games
When layoffs happen, and while Frontier’s own reports don't necessarily say anything about employees getting laid off or fired in any way, companies keep their most financially successful stuff/plans going for maximum survival, and stuff/plans that most doesn't or won't in the long run are cut off, like their Foundry portfolio. Even BestInSlot said something like that in that video you saw. JWE2 is a very financially successful game for Frontier, but remember, sales alone don't mean continued content adding, but overall player engagement with the game (which must also contribute to those high sales) does until any planned/agreed deadline is approached or something tragic happens to them that will affect it will. So, I doubt these layoffs, or whatever is going on with Frontier along with several other major game studios around the world, will have any significant impact on JWE2 right now.

If it is Tarbosaurus, which I think so too, then it’s probably using a Frontier patterning and coloring for sure. Because, looking at the Tarbosaurus patterning itself in Hidden Adventure, it doesn’t have aaannnyyy spots or orange colors on its legs.

I think if it is, they’re probably making it more difficult for people easily to guess what is. Hmm…
Did you also notice the spike on it's tail?

I'd have liked to see different dinosaurs than Tarbosaurus. But if that's Tarbosaurus, I'm hoping for maybe a carnivore or theropod pack.
Looking at the meta wish list top theropods, Mononykus, Utahraptor, Concavenator, together with Tarbosaurus could make for a cool selection of animals.

A lot her assume it's Tarbo. And I mean, Frontier knows that it's asked for, so it'd be cruel to have a different Tyrannosaur. Talking about why it doesn't look like the Camp Cretaceous version, it could be they used different colors or the Tarbosaurus has its own special 2016 skin.

I wouldn't be too surprised if we get a Camp Cretaceous 2 pack, with a Mantah Corp build theme, maybe a new map or 2, and new species like the Spinoceratops and perhaps even the Microceratus

It is Tarbo! Look.

This spike could only mean one thing.

Based on time from the LQA update & the fact there's safely free decorations, it certainly looks like an animal pack. I'd hope there's potential for at least a few new plants in the update (I'd like a new map, but it doesn't look plausible).

Tarbosaurus narrows it down a little, but there's still at least 3 themes. I want Microceratus, but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they save it for next year.

It seems a bit early for a 7th of December DLC, so the announcement might be next week, rather than tomorrow, maybe getting more teases in between.

If by cool you mean three reskins, our first Alvarezsaurid and a massive downgrade from the Aquatic pack, then... sure... totally cool selection...

What are you talking about? None of those three look like anything in the game. There's no Alvarezsaur in the game right now. Utahraptor is much bulkier than any other dromaeosaur in the game. And Concavenator is the most unique looking carcharodontosaur. And they're the top most requested theropods in the meta wishlist. Just because you may not like them doesn't mean they're bad choices.

Personally, I would prefer more herbivores since there's more than enough carnivores already. But if it's a theropod or carnivore pack, I think those would be a fine selection.

  • I literally specified "our first Alvarezsaurid" to indicate how it would be the only unique addition to the pack.
  • So what if Utahraptor is bulkier? We already have four dromaeosaurs that cover everything it could add... at best it might be bigger... although it seems just as likely it would be another reskin.
  • Beyond the fin on its back, Concavenator is just another conventional medium-sized theropod...
  • Beyond the fact that the JWE2 meta list is a poor source of information considering how few people have participated (a whole 43), since when has Frontier ever focused exclusively on the top most requested animals?
  • If we work under the assumption this is a carnivore pack (because focusing a pack on a single group of animals is kinda yuck) there are plenty of great options beyond the many conventional theropods that we already have, even more so if they go with things that are not theropods; Inostrancevia, Kaprosuchus, Smilodon, etc.

yes.... 4 really nice new species and a lot good stuff for the parks !
Utahraptor looks good, but austroraptor ( able to use Fishfeeder) would have been a better choice for a new raaptor, because it looks much more different to our other raptors ;) !

I am with you for the Austroraptor, it is a good thing we can see the Utahraptor in a theme-park-simulation game of the Jurassic Park franchise.
