Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

There was some Scottish trucker in of them German police shows. He was getting fined and asked to pay in pound and the investigation into the potential money forging gang went into full gear,
In the distant past when everyone used to pay in cash...I've even had some shop staff in England refuse to take Scottish notes when I've got to the till. They're very pretty and all different from each other even though they're worth exactly the same. Obviously confusing for some countries with boring paper money all the same colour with the same pictures on :)

At least you got away before we they got the bonfires lit.......

That reminds me of coming back from a pub crawl in Belfast with all my remaining funds in Northern Bank notes :D

CIG at it again...

Good clips/quotes. Same as with the videos from Star Criticism that were made many years ago, and still relevant today.

Yeah I cite them in the vid description ;)

Seemed like a good a time as any to catch up on the most recent 5 years of blather. (And going through the pre-2018 stuff again, even just limiting myself to convention announcements, there was still a load of other absolute bobbins by CR worth floating to the top ;))

I wonder if GTA6 announcing it is coming in 2025 is causing headaches in CiG central? I can't see SQ42 being anywhere near being ready in 2024, but 2025 always seemed possible (with the inevitable slip into 2026) - now they have the worry that any launch date clashes with GTA6 - which would be unfortunate.

There's more and more competition coming as well, Starminer for instance, despite them being a niche product they seem to be everywhere.

I can't see SQ42 having issues with a small space mining game - I can see them wanting to avoid a gaming juggernaut steaming towards them. Though as Golgot pointed out, maybe even 2025 is being too optimistic given how close they have been to release for 10 years. 3 monthly releases for SQ42 episodes - lol :)

Nah. Its not like there is any overlap, except in both you can give the devs money in return for in game cash.
