Hypothesis: Americas themed Pack?

Looking at the last few packs, I feel like a slight pattern has emerged?

Arid Pack was basically Africa Pack 2
Oceania
Eurasia

Which to me would imply that the next pack would be one or both of the Americas?

If that was the case, how would people want that to work?

Americas?
New World?
Latin America?
Brazil?
Mexico?
Canada?
Amazon?

Any other thoughts?

That's definitely my suspicion for a Summer DLC. As far as "works" it would probably work like the Eurasia DLC; just a bunch of animals with no obvious pattern... maybe something like:

  • American Black Bear
  • American Flamingo
  • Armadillo (Any really)
  • Coati
  • Howler Monkey or Spider Monkey
  • Patagonian Mara
  • Greater Rhea

I'm not really in a position to go looking this stuff up, but I'm sure you get the idea...

In my perfect world, I'd love to see a North America scenery pack in the spring followed by a South America animal pack in the summer. Combining the two won't give South America nearly enough animals. I posted my ideal list somewhere either yesterday or the day before, but here it is again:

Woodlands Pack (or something)
  • American black bear
  • White-tailed deer
  • North American river otter, Virginia opossum, or an unrelated oddball a la the Twilight Pack (Reeve's muntjac, short-beaked echidna, raccoon dog)
  • Literally any duck
  • Hellbender (or whatever)
Latin America Animal Pack
  • Ocelot
  • South American coati
  • Greater rhea
  • Patagonian mara
  • Spectacled bear
  • Monkey slot 1 (common squirrel monkey, black howler, Geoffroy's spider monkey, or golden lion tamarin)
  • Monkey slot 2 (common squirrel monkey, black howler, Geoffroy's spider monkey, or golden lion tamarin)
  • Two-toed sloth
If we get two more packs and it's these, I'll end up being very happy.

I think this too. I can see a Rainforest or Woodland pack in the Spring with something and then an Americas pack with things like:
  • Golden lion tamarin (mascot)
  • American flamingo
  • Bush dog
  • Sea otter
  • South American coati
  • Southern pudú
  • Wild turkey
  • Utila spiny-tailed iguana (exhibit)

Americas got let down this year
NA got peccaries, wolverines. Not sure if frontier wants to count invasive such as wild boars and mute swans idk.
SA got the sloths and peccaries.

I’m not sure if NA needs another build dlc as new world, Arctic, aquatic and twilight IMOP give enough builds for NA. A PNW indigenous theme or a Wild West theme idk how I feel about as a build dlc.

Tundra dlc could give us some missing animals like the musk oxen
Central American animal dlc could give us coyotes, roadrunners, ocelots and coatis.
Latin America could get us rheas, Andean bears and southern fur seals

I realistically see an animal dlc that could cover a good chunk of animals form the Americas being apart of 2024 roster. I would be mad if we got another sloth to waste a spot for WE in favor of birdies.

The Eurasia pack kind of works for me because (aside from the sloth bear) all of the animals were from the palearctic realm. North America is mostly Nearctic and South America is mostly Neotropical. Some animals wander over occasionally, but the fauna is mostly different. Grouping them seems weird.
While both could use better scenery, North America is particularly in need of it. I could see this arriving in a tundra, temperate, coastal, or perhaps mountain DLC
South America more desperately needs animals. It could easily fill an animal pack of its own or 2/3 of a rainforest pack and its own scenery pack just to cover most of the basics.

I can see how the aquatic pack resembles North American buildings, but I thought twilight and arctic were European building styles. The arctic pack features Nordic buildings, and twilight was gothic, German? not as sure about that one.

Just to come back, I think my own inclination would probably be a NA themed scenery with something like

Sea Otter
Musk Ox
Rocky Mountain Goat
Virginia Oppossum or American Black Bear
- Hellbender

Then a Latin America animal pack along the lines of:

Howler Monkey sp.
Golden Lion Tamarin
Spectacled Bear
Ocelot
Coati sp.
Tamandua or Giant Armadillo
Scarlet Ibis
Walkthrough: scarlet + blue and gold macaw

Oceania is basically Australia + the rest of the continent.
Eurasia is basically Europe + Southeast Asia + the rest of the continent.
Americas would make sense (North America + South America)
Latin America would make sense too (South America + the rest of the region).

I'd personally prefer a Latin American animal pack, as we lack a lot of species from this region:
  • Spectacled Bear (large species, recognisable carnivore, unique within its category)
  • Ocelot (high demand, mid-sized species, felines are popular)
  • South American Coati (high demand, new niche)
  • Any monkey (extremely high demand)
  • Patagonian Mara (new niche/region, more rodent representation)
  • Red-legged Seriema (outlier, bird species, unique region/category)
  • Southern Tamandua (unique species, arboreal)
  • Green Anaconda (E)

Could a Canada pack work? A scenery pack with;

Canada pack;
-North American porcupine
-American black bear
-Sea otter
-Snowy goat
E;
-Coral snake

Central America pack;
-Southern tamandua
-Mantled howler monkey
-Brown pelican
-White nosed coati
E;
-Hoffman two-toed sloth

New world animal pack;
-North American porcupine
-American black bear
-Sea otter
-Southern tamandua
-Mantled howler monkey
-Brown pelican
-White nosed coati
E;
Hoffman two-toed sloth

For North America I miss:
Coyote
Black-footed ferret
American black bear
Virginia opossum
North American porcupine
Eastern grey squirrel
Abert's squirrel
Canada goose
Musk ox
Kodiak bear
Red wolf
White-tailed deer
Wapiti
Red-eared slider as habitat animal
Aligator snapping turtle
Snapping turtle
Hellbender
Tiger salamander

For south-america:
South-american coati
Bushdog
Patagonian cavy
Giant armadillo
Big-hairy armadillo
Southern three-banded armadillo
Southern tamandua
Bolivian squirrel monkey
Tufted caphucin
Colombian red howler monkey
Small monkeys like: Golden lion tamartin/pied tamarin/cotton-top tamarin/common marmoset/emperor tamarin/Golden-headed lion tamarin
Ocelot
Red-rumped agouti
Greater rhea
Darwin's rhea
Vicuña
