Talking about cloud tech: I still remember piercing the clouds with the Fishbed in DCS. A day before I mastered take-off on a rainy sim day and forgot to close the canopy. It got ripped off and the plane handled considerably worse. The next day I took off and mastered picking up targets, it turned out to be the surveillance plane on our side. It was the only plane I could pick up, there in the clouds where you could see sheet. I even managed to shoot it down and I was sure I had the IFF configured. I guess something wasn't quite as planned.

What IS planned is the choreography of Scam Citizen. They repeat it time and time again. And it will be repeated with the next bogus "tech" again and again until the last idiot realises that they've been had hard.

Mikey was talking recently about now not much will happen for the next couple of months as CiG go into their December holidays / planning month January, then paused to think 'what do they need to plan, as they told us the plan already at Citcon?'. Then he distracted himself with something else :)

Hah.

Funny thing is, i don't know any company, not one, that takes even a week or a day* at the start of the year where basically nothing gets done while the bigwigs sit around and "plan".

Its not like the devs don't have tasks to do and i'm sure they are working on... something, but every year, it seems that it all comes to a grinding halt during this period and CIG's own statements and actions over the years seem to confirm it.

Its totally bizarre.

* - well, except for post new-year hangovers that tend to affect productivity.
